SSM 477492019-03-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some 2012-2019 Vehicles may require repairs to the Smartlink system. Smartlink is a Ford Licensed Accessory which has a warranty provided by the accessory manufacturer. Warranty replacement parts for Smartlink that are ordered through Ford are not reimbursable through the Ford Motor Company warranty system. Please see the Warranty and Policy Manual for further information on Ford Licensed Accessories.
SSM 477232019-03-04. Service bulletin. SEAT BELTS:FRONT:RETRACTOR. Some 2015-2019 Transit vehicles may exhibit front seat safety belts that do not extend or retract properly or may exhibit an abnormal noise. Verify if the vehicle has been modified, in particular if a bulkhead partition between the front seats and cargo area has been added to the vehicle. Fasteners or holes in the lower b-pillar are indicators that the seat belt retractor mechanism could have been compromised. If diagnostics lead to retractor replacement, inspect for drill or screw holes in the retractor housing. Damage to the seat belt retractor caused by a vehicle modifier is not warrantable.
SSM 477122019-03-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:DIESEL; FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL. Some 2017-2019 F-Super Duty and 2016-2019 F650-750 with 6.7L diesel engines, 2015-2019 Transit with 3.2L diesel engines and 2018-2019 F-150 with 3.0L diesel engines may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P206C in the powertrain control module (PCM). Review of repair data supports that P206C is often the result of incorrect diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) concentration. Per Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Pinpoint Test (PPT) RJ, a DEF concentration reading below 28% will set P206C and cause vehicle derate. If low concentration is suspected, drain fluid and replace with known good DEF before replacing any parts. Low concentration of DEF is not a warrantable condition.
SSM 477472019-03-04. Service bulletin. STEERING. Some 2015-2019 Transit vehicles may exhibit a power steering fluid leak at the steering pump or gear. This may be due to a cut or damaged O-ring on the power steering line connection. To repair, refer to parts catalog call out 3334 for service kit BK2Z-3F886-A which contains all four O-rings utilized on the line assembly connections.
SSM 476712019-01-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. For 2015-2019 Transit vehicles, multiple fuse assemblies for the high current battery junction box are available for service.
