| 20V554000 | 2020-09-11. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY. Isuzu Technical Center of America, Inc. (Isuzu) is recalling certain 2018-2021 FTR and Chevrolet 6500XD vehicles. The ground cable connecting the starter motor to the vehicle frame may break at the starter-side eyelet, resulting in an engine no-crank or slow-crank condition, causing the vehicle not to start. |
| 20V195000 | 2020-04-03. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Isuzu Technical Center of America, Inc. (Isuzu) is recalling certain 2018-2020 FTR and Chevrolet 6500XD vehicles. The chassis wire harness outside the relay box may have been improperly routed, potentially allowing the harness to contact the suspension's leaf spring hanger bracket, allowing the harness to get chafed. Built 2018-02-06 to 2020-02-05. |
| 19V647000 | 2019-09-09. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Isuzu Technical Center of America, Inc. The power supply bolt in the relay box may not have been properly tightened during harness production at the supplier. This may lead to melting of the power wire and/or a loss of electrical power to the vehicle, which can lead to a stall. Built 2017-07-05 to 2018-12-20. |
| 19V467000 | 2019-06-18. STEERING. Isuzu Technical Center of America, Inc. (Isuzu) is recalling certain 2018-2020 FTR and Chevrolet 6500XD vehicles. The jam nut for the steering stopper bolt on the left front knuckle may loosen and allow the bolt to back away from the steering knuckle, increasing the turning radius of the vehicle in a left turn. Built 2017-04-19 to 2019-06-12. |
| 18V758000 | 2018-10-26. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES:HOOD:LATCH. Isuzu Technical Center of America, Inc. (Isuzu) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Chevrolet Low Cab Forward 6500XD and Isuzu FTR vehicles. | 2025577 | 2025-10-22. Suspension. Issue: On certain trucks, the front stabilizer bar brackets may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the bracket(s) could break and the stabilizer bar could detach from the truck. Safety Risk: Parts that detach from the truck could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: To reduce the safety risk, Isuzu advises you to inspect the front stabilizer bar before driving until the recall repairs have been completed. Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to remove or replace the stabilizer bar, stabilizer bar brackets, leaf spring assemblies and/or stabilizer plates, as necessary. |
|---|---|
| 2021679 | 2021-11-05. Steering. Issue: On certain vehicles, the jam nut for the steering stopper bolt on the left-front knuckle may loosen and allow the bolt to back away from the knuckle. This could result in an increase in the turning radius of the vehicle in left turns. A change in turning radius could make it difficult to make sharp turns. Note: This recall replaces V1902 (Transport Canada recall 2019-306). Vehicles that were repaired under that recall also require this repair. Safety Risk: If a vehicle's turning radius is increased, there could be an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to replace the jam nuts on the steering stopper bolts with new Spiralock nuts. The bolts and extensions will also be cleaned and/or replaced, as necessary. |
| 2020143 | 2020-04-03. Electrical. Issue: On certain trucks, the wire harness from the relay box was not properly routed. As result, the wire harness could be damaged by contact with the leaf spring hanger bracket. If this happens, the engine could stall. This can also cause the anti-lock brake system (ABS) not to work properly. A damaged wire harness could also cause a short circuit. Safety Risk: A sudden loss of engine power could create the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loss of ABS could also increase the risk of a crash. In addition, a short circuit could create the risk of fire. Corrective Actions: Isuzu will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the wire harness for damage. If necessary, it will be replaced. Additional clamps will be installed to move the harness away from the leaf spring hanger bracket. |
| 2019452 | 2019-09-09. Electrical. Issue: The main power wire to the relay box may have a loose connection. This could cause the wire to overheat or melt, and result in a loss of electrical power to the vehicle. Safety Risk: A loss of electrical power to the vehicle could result in an engine stall and increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to an authorized service center to inspect the main power wire bolt. If excess insulation is found, it will be trimmed and the bolt will be properly tightened. If the wire harness and/or relay box are damaged, they will be repaired or replaced. |
| 2019306 | 2019-06-19. Safety Risk: If a vehicle's turning radius is increased, there could be an increased risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a dealer to replace the jam nuts on the steering stopper bolts. The nuts will be tightened and Loctite will be applied to the nut and bolt. If a bolt is found damaged or missing, the assembly will be replaced. |
| 2018590 | 2018-10-29. Structure. On certain F-Series cab-forward trucks, there may be insufficient warning to the operator when the locking lever that secures the cab is left unlatched after servicing or maintenance. If a driver does not ensure the cab is properly latched before driving, the cab may tilt unintentionally, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Isuzu will remind owners of the need to secure the cab locking lever and will provide further measures, including additional warning features and an additional label and updates to the owner’s manuals. |
