What is wrong
Issue:
On certain trucks, the front stabilizer bar brackets may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the bracket(s) could break and the stabilizer bar could detach from the truck.
Safety Risk:
Parts that detach from the truck could create a hazard for other road users and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
To reduce the safety risk, Isuzu advises you to inspect the front stabilizer bar before driving until the recall repairs have been completed. Isuzu will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to remove or replace the stabilizer bar, stabilizer bar brackets, leaf spring assemblies and/or stabilizer plates, as necessary.

Bulletins for the same vehicles and component
| CB22-E-001A | 2022-11-01. Service bulletin. Isuzu Motors Limited has decided that a defect, which relates to motor vehicle safety, exists in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 model year F-Series vehicles. The jam nut for the steering stopper bolt on the left side may loosen and allow the bolt to back away from the steering knuckle. This could result in an increase in the turning radius of the vehicle in left turns, which could make it difficult to make sharp turns. If the vehicle's turning radius is increased, there is an increased risk of a crash. A prior recall (19V-467) was conducted to address this issue, but we have identified this condition on vehicles that were remedied in that campaign as well as those that were produced after a change in production intended to prevent the condition. |

| IB19E001A | 2019-06-11. Service bulletin. "SOME CUSTOMERS MAY COMPLAIN ABOUT A CLUNKING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT END TYPICALLY HEARD WHEN TURNING INTO AN UNEVEN ROAD SURFACE OR WHILE TURNING AND HITTING A BUMP. THIS CLUNKING NOISE MAY BE CAUSED BY THE FRONT LEAF SPRING CONTACTING THE SPRING HANGER AS SHOWN IN FIGURE 1. INSPECT THE FOUR LOCATIONS AT THE FRONT SPRING FORWARD HANGER, AS SHOWN WITH RED ARROWS IN FIGURE 2, FOR EVIDENCE OF CONTACT. IF EVIDENCE OF CONTACT IS PRESENT, REPLACE BOTH FRONT LEAF SPRINGS WITH UPDATED LEAF SPRINGS BY FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE SET FORTH IN THE APPLICABLE WSM. THIS WILL INCREASE THE CLEARANCE AND PREVENT CONTACT IN THE FUTURE. (SEE TABLE 1.)" |
A bulletin is the manufacturer's note to its dealers. It is not part of this recall.
