Service bulletins for the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 50638 | 2022-03-29. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2021 Mustang Mach-E vehicles may exhibit an erroneous diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U2404:92 stored in the GWM after a Ford Power-Up software update was delivered over-the-air (OTA) or the GWM software was updated using the Ford Diagnosis And Repair System (FDRS). This may be due to various software parameters within the GWM. If this DTC is identified during normal diagnostics, but the vehicle does not exhibit any customer concerns around the GWM operation, this DTC should be disregarded. This DTC does not cause any observable concerns or warning messages and does not affect vehicle performance or durability. Ford is developing a software update which will be delivered to the vehicle via a Ford Power-Up GWM update in March 2022 to prevent this DTC from setting erroneously. |

Some 2021-2022 F-150/Mach-E vehicles equipped with BlueCruise may experience loss of BlueCruise hands-free driving mode availability. This may be due to an expired BlueCruise map file in the gateway module (GWM). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the GWM. |
| SSM 50553 | 2022-03-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT. Some 2021 F-150/Mustang Mach-E vehicles may display OTA Update Not Successful messages on the vehicle's center touchscreen. Also, when a software update is being performed on the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) using the FDRS, the center touchscreen may not indicate the APIM software is downloading when plugging a USB drive into the vehicle. This may be due to an APIM software concern. Inform customers that Ford is currently working on a solution for this condition that is to be released via the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) in March 2022. Inform the customer that they can continue to drive the vehicle and only need to schedule a follow-up appointment if they are still experiencing the OTA Update Not Successful message in April 2022 or if the APIM is not able to be updated via the FDRS. Monitor OASIS for updates. |
