Service bulletins for the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSB 23-2088 | 2023-04-04. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. Some 2021-2023 Mustang Mach-E vehicles may exhibit a lack/loss of heat and/or windshield interior fogging while driving during freezing temperatures. This may be due to the heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) control module software. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the HVAC control module software. |

| SSM 50645 | 2022-04-13. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM:ENGINE COOLANT HOSES AND FITTINGS. Some 2021-2022 Mustang Mach-E vehicles may exhibit a lack/loss of heat while driving during freezing temperatures. The Workshop Manual, Section 412-00 pinpoint test J has been updated to aid in proper diagnosis. This may be due to the heating ventilation and air conditioning control (HVAC) module software. Recommend the customer to use AUTO Mode and adjust the temperature to maximize heater performance. This does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required at this time. Inform customers they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected in late April 2022. Replacement or reprogramming of the HVAC will not resolve this condition. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule service appointments for customers once the repair becomes available. |
| SSM 50015 | 2021-09-04. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM; VISIBILITY; EQUIPMENT. Some 2020-2021 Ford and Lincoln vehicles are equipped with an anti-fogging feature known as enhanced windshield anti fogging strategy (EWAFS). This feature automatically adjusts airflow in the cabin to prevent the windshield from fogging up and may be perceived by customers as irregular climate control functionality. To reduce fogging, the EWAFS functions include: the air condition (A/C) button may turn on and off automatically, recirculated air may turn off automatically in all air modes except MAX A/C, recirculated air may also turn on and off automatically in various airflow modes in order to improve heating or cooling efficiency, and in auto climate control, high humidity conditions may automatically engage A/C compressor, increase blower motor speed and/or direct more air to windshield. Continue to monitor the Workshop Manual (WSM) for EWAFS updates. |
| SSM 49811 | 2021-06-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2021 Mustang Mach-E vehicles may exhibit a concern of the air conditioning (A/C) and heater being inoperative with the ambient temperature reading -4 degrees. To correct this condition, the vehicle needs to be driven at speeds above 20 mph (32 km/h) for at least 90 seconds. If the concern persists, refer to Workshop Manual Section 413-01 for further diagnostics. |
