Service bulletins for the 2021 Ford Bronco

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with exterior zone lighting may experience the hazard lamps flashing one time intermittently when the hazard lamps are turned off. This condition is due to the body control module (BCM) software. This condition occurs when zone lighting is activated then deactivated while the engine is OFF, or during an engine auto-start-stop event. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the BCM.
TSB 21-24542022-01-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Some 2021 Bronco/F-150/Explorer/Aviator/Police Interceptor Utility vehicles, non-hybrid, may exhibit harsh/delayed engagement and/or harsh/delayed shift concerns. These may be addressed with the powertrain control module (PCM)/transmission control module (TCM) Transmission Accelerated Main Control Break In Routine. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 307-01, DTC Chart and/or Diagnosis By Symptom to identify the clutch(s) to be cycled. Cycling the shift solenoids and clutch control valves to remove contamination must be performed along with an adaptive drive cycle before attempting repair. This routine's usage has been expanded for various symptoms across the life of the vehicle. For claiming, use causal part 7A100 and applicable labor operations in Section 7 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 503142021-12-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES. Before any repair attempts, try to authorize the vehicle via FordPass/LincolnWay app in order to verify the concern is still present. If the concern is present, make sure the GWM is at the latest software level. Start a new FDRS session and make sure the TCU is at the latest software level. If no software updates are available, remove the TCU and GWM fuses to reset the modules. Make sure the customer is able to authorize the vehicle from FordPass/LincolnWay to confirm the repair. If the telematics control unit (TCU) on the vehicle does not exhibit any diagnostic trouble codes (DTC), but the customer is running into these app concerns, this may be due to poor cell signal getting to the TCU. The TCU - Provisioning Application on the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool will provide cell signal strength information that can help to diagnose the source of the poor cell signal. If poor cell signal is found, refer to WSM 415-00 to help identify an antenna concern. Be sure the vehicle is an open environment.
