Service bulletins for the 2021 Ford Bronco

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

322 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

Bulletins, newest first
SSM 523422024-03-20. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Some 2022-2024 Broncos Raptors built on and before 13-Feb-2024 and 2021-2024 Broncos equipped with a 2.3L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated MIL with ignition system DTC(s) P0352, P0353, P0354, P0355, P0357, P2303, P2306, P2309, P2312, P2318, P2304, P2307, P2310, P2313, P2319, and/or P2322 set in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to incorrect cylinder to DTC mapping within the PCM. This means the DTCs listed may set against the incorrect cylinder. Even though the cylinder to DTC mapping is incorrect in the PCM, the presence of these DTCs means that a real ignition system concern is present that requires diagnosis and repair. Prior to performing a pinpoint test for one of the listed DTCs, it will be necessary to identify the correct cylinder that has the issue. Do this by using the Ford diagnosis and repair system (FDRS) to perform a cylinder power balance test. If the results show two cylinders dropping out, begin diagnosing the ignition system components for the cylinder that is dropping out and not setting an ignition related DTC. Due to the incorrect cylinder to DTC mapping
SSM 519612023-11-03. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit an illuminated MIL with DTCs P0096 and/or P007B in the powertrain control module (PCM), which may be more prevalent in high ambient air temperatures. For vehicles that meet this criateria, inspect the front of the vehicle for the presence of an aftermarket bumper and/or accessories which may restrict air flow to the charge air cooler and surrounding sensors. Remove the aftermarket accessory and return the vehicle to stock and reevaluate. If the concern returns with the stock bumper/accessories removed, proceed to normal Workshop Manual diagnostics.
SSM 516772023-06-08. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit an inaccurate AAT reading with DTC P0072 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). The Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-01 > pinpoint test (PPT) BC has been updated to address this concern. The AAT WSM updates include: improved diagnosis and testing, AAT sensor reset, and the AAT sensor interaction with climate control system and gateway module A (GWM).
TSB 21-23662021-11-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE:SOFTWARE. Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.7L EcoBoost engine and built on or before 01-Sep-2021 may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P2096 and/or P2098 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to various software parameters within the PCM and/or a catalyst monitor sensor. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
TSB 21-23542021-11-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Some 2021 Bronco vehicles built on or before 23-Aug-2021 may experience a charging system fault message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) and diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U012D, U0284 and/or U0285 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to water intrusion in the active grille shutter connector. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to inspect for water intrusion in the active grille shutter harness connector and repair as needed.
