Service bulletins for the 2021 Ford Bronco

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 549612026-06-29. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a condition where short drop windows, window bounce-back, and/or one-touch close does not operate properly. This may be due to loss of window initialization. Replacement or reprogramming of the DDM, PDM, and/or any other components may not resolve these conditions. The short drop windows feature may be restored by performing a reset procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual > Windows > Using Short Drop Windows > Resetting Short Drop Windows. If the customer is experiencing an inability to fully close the window due to repeated bounce-back events, the window bounce-back feature may be overridden by performing an override procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual > Windows > Window Bounce-Back > Overriding Windows Bounce-Back. The one-touch feature may be restored by performing a reset procedure as described in the Digital Owner's Manual > Windows > Opening and Closing the Windows > Resetting One-Touch Close. These symptoms may return after a successful reset/override of the feature. Show the customer where they can find these procedures in the Digital Owner’s Manual so they can have the option to perform the procedures on their own should any of these symptoms return. Inform customers that engineering is aware of these conditions and working on a solution which is expected to be available by the end of Q4 2026. Monitor Professional Technician System (PTS) for additional information.

SSM 539812025-07-02. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a rattle from the front windows with the windows placed in the partially down position and driving over rough roads and/or bumps. This may be due to the interface between the window glass and the body mounted glass run. To correct this condition, replace the body mounted glass runs using the body mounted glass run kit (3 door: M2DZ-9821597-E, and 5 door: M2DZ-7821597-F) which contains updated seals for improved sealing performance. For claiming, use causal part 9821597/7821597 and labor operations 23943A and 23943A19 in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 539622025-06-24. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some 2021-2025 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a water leak from the A-pillar, overhead console/upfitter switches and/or sun visors. If a leak is identified from this area, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-18 Pinpoint Test (PPT) G for water leak diagnosis. If the PPT leads to the replacement of the header seal, a revised header seal has been released for service (M2DZ-7803110-H) which contains a thicker consistent bead of butyl across the entire length of the seal. The header seal will need to be firmly depressed and massaged to make sure all of the butyl that is across the entire header seal will properly adhere to the body, creating a water-tight seal. For claiming, use causal part 7803110 and labor operation 03110A in Section 12 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.
SSM 538142025-05-27. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER. Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a water leak from the a-pillar, overhead console/upfitter switches and/or sun visors
TSB 25-22122025-05-21. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY/WIPER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a repeat loss of window initialization which results in a loss of short drop and/or one-touch up and one-touch down feature operation. This may be due to a recent short drop enhancement that is contained in the driver door module (DDM) and passenger door module (PDM) software.
23B352023-12-05. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER:MOTOR. Certain 2021-2023 Model Year Bronco Vehicles - Wiper Motor Software Update
SSM 518502023-09-01. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a soft top roof may exhibit loose exterior fabric on the rear window assembly. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with a soft top roof may exhibit rear quarter window(s) that do not stay attached to the rear window after driving the vehicle or using the soft top quick access cargo function to raise the rear of the soft top assembly for luggage compartment access. This may be due to a retention channel(s) on the rear window that is too narrow. Do not replace the rear quarter windows. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to secure the rear quarter window(s) in place until a new rear window can be obtained to permanently correct this condition.
SSM 517262023-06-28. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit the HVAC switching out of recirculation without input. This may be due to the air flow mode door inlet strategy while in recirculation mode. This strategy periodically purges the cabin air every 30-60 minutes depending on conditions the vehicle is operated in. If monitoring the Air Inlet Door PID with FDRS, it can go to approximately 50 % movement of the Air Inlet Door while in recirculation mode. During this climate control system strategy operation the recirculation button light should not go off. This is normal operation of the climate control system and no repairs should be attempted. If the recirculation button/light goes off then reference Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 412-00.
