Service bulletins for the 2021 Ford Bronco

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

322 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

SSM 524762024-05-03. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. All accessory stick-on keyless entry keypads come with a wallet card containing the master code. If the accessory keypad was factory installed, this card will be placed in the glove box and should be handed to the vehicles owner during initial delivery. Unlike the integrated (wired) factory keypad, the accessory keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is lost, follow these steps to recover the code. Dealer Key Code access is granted through the Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES); dealership management can authorize users. The authorized user must go to FMCDealer.com > Parts and Service > Parts Product Line Information > Keys/Entry Devices > Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Follow the instructions on the screen to obtain the master code for the accessory keypad.
TSB 24-20802024-04-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS; STRUCTURE; EQUIPMENT. This article supersedes 23-2024 to update parts list to include rivets. Some 2021-2024 Bronco/F-150, 2023-2024 Escape/F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may experience a concern during accessory protocol interface module (APIM) programming where the vehicle's center display screen indicates USB Error. This may be due to a lack of memory space available to perform the APIM software update. If it is a memory concern, the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) will provide an option to delete the voice application. Re-enter the module programming and when prompted, do not select first option - SYNC Module (APIM) Software Update, select the second option - Delete Voice Application(s) From Module. Once deleted, run the SYNC Module (APIM) Software Update as directed, this will update the software and automatically reload the voice app. If the voice delete option is not available, continue with normal diagnostics in the Workshop Manual, Section 418.
TSB 24-20402024-03-07. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit paint damage on the rear quarter panel due to contact with the soft top rear window. This may be due to a contact condition that can occur during extreme off-road driving between the soft top rear window and the rear quarter panel. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to modify the rear window.
TSB 24-20322024-03-07. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; STRUCTURE:BODY:TRUNK LID. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles built on or before 28-Feb-2023 may exhibit water entry into the rear trunk. This may be due to a lack of body seam sealer at the floor panel to trunk sheet metal joint. This repair procedure addresses water entry from underneath of the vehicle into the rear trunk area (jack storage compartment). This article does not apply if water is entering the vehicle from above the rear trunk area (such as from the roof, rear window etc.). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to apply seam sealer to the forward trunk to floor panel sheet metal joint.

Some 2021-2024 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a whistle noise below the lower left windshield area at the bottom of the A-pillar. This may be due to a missed body sealer application at the factory.
SSM 520432023-12-07. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some 2021 Bronco vehicles built on or before 01-Sep-2021 equipped with a factory soft top roof may not have the hard top roof prep kit. The prep kit includes the controls, wiring, hoses and module configurations required to have a functional rear wiper, washer and defroster. Without the prep kit installed from the factory, the rear wiper, washer and defroster, will not function. The prep kit can be identified on the window sticker as Soft-Top, Cloth W/Prep Kit under the optional equipment/other heading. This is a normal condition and no repairs/upfitting should be performed. Do not submit a claim for this condition.

Some 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may exhibit the navigation feature in the center display screen only displaying imperial (feet and miles) units and not being able to change to metric (meters and kilometers) units. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module (APIM). To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the APIM to the latest software level via a coordinated flash. NOTE: The APIM software update that addresses the symptom listed in this article may have been sent via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) to connected vehicles that have automatic updates enabled through the center display screen. Enter the vehicle identification number (VIN) in Professional Technician System (PTS) and check the OTA Dashboard under the Connected Vehicle tab for OTA update history. If an update to the APIM has successfully completed recently and the customer is reporting the symptoms are no longer present, this article may not apply.

Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a soft top roof may experience paint scratches on the sports tube paint due to contact with the soft top roof frame during the open and close operation. This may be due to a lack of protective measures installed on the soft top roof frame. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to install protective plates and hook and loop fasteners to sections of the soft top roof frame.
TSB 23-22822023-11-01. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles built on or before 31-Mar-2022 and equipped with a factory hard top roof may have an older style latch decal installed that is no longer available to order. Replacement hard top roof panels will come with a newer style latch decal. This will create an appearance mismatch condition with the original roof panels that will still have the older style decals installed. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to install newer style latch decals on all original hard top roof panels.

SSM 518302023-08-14. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with a soft top roof may exhibit rear quarter window(s) that do not stay attached to the rear window after driving the vehicle or using the soft top quick access cargo function to raise the rear of the soft top assembly for luggage compartment access. This may be due to a retention channel on the rear window that is too narrow. To correct this condition, replace the rear window assembly (service base part # 7842006). Refer to Section 501-18A > Removal and Installation > Soft Top Assembly.
TSB 23-22412023-08-02. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; STRUCTURE. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles equipped with a factory subwoofer and built on or before 20-Mar-2023 may exhibit a rattle from right loadspace trim panel at high audio system volumes. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace the tree fasteners on the right loadspace trim panel.
TSB 23-22292023-07-21. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY; EQUIPMENT. Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a soft top may exhibit exterior wear on the sides of the soft top material above the B-pillar. This may be due to contact and rubbing between the soft top frame and soft top material. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to replace both right and left deflectors attached to the soft top frame and soft top material.
SSM 517622023-07-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM). Some 2021-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may exhibit the navigation feature in the center display screen only displaying imperial units and not being able to change to metric. This may be due to the software level of the SYNC module (APIM). This issue does not affect vehicle durability and no additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected in September 2023. Software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicles settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in September 2023. Monitor OASIS for additional information.

This may be due to a retention channel(s) on the rear window that is too narrow. Do not replace the rear quarter windows. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to secure the rear quarter window(s) in place until a new rear window can be obtained to permanently correct this condition.
SSM 517262023-06-28. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit the HVAC switching out of recirculation without input. This may be due to the air flow mode door inlet strategy while in recirculation mode. This strategy periodically purges the cabin air every 30-60 minutes depending on conditions the vehicle is operated in. If monitoring the Air Inlet Door PID with FDRS, it can go to approximately 50 % movement of the Air Inlet Door while in recirculation mode. During this climate control system strategy operation the recirculation button light should not go off. This is normal operation of the climate control system and no repairs should be attempted. If the recirculation button/light goes off then reference Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 412-00.
SSM 516872023-06-16. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; EQUIPMENT:OTHER:OWNERS/SERVICE/OTHER MANUAL; POWER TRAIN. TSB 22-2428 is missing some labor operations. For any missing labor operations, claim available new model labor operations or m-time. Refer to this article on the repair order. SSM 513772023-03-04. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD; EQUIPMENT. 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles are equipped with a smart windshield wiper motor, which has the capability of sensing load of the wiper blades coming across the windshield glass. As a result of this operational characteristic/design, the operation may not be what is expected in certain conditions. The vehicle is programmed with protection features to prevent damage to the wiper motor in case of overheating, operation with dry windshields, or obstructions to the wiper blade (snow, ice, etc.). In such conditions, the wiper motor will temporarily reduce its speed and/or reduce area of cleaning until the condition is no longer present.
SSM 513762023-03-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR. Some 2021-2023 Bronco vehicles may exhibit a creak/pop type noise when any of the side doors are opened and closed. This may be due to incorrect door installation, alignment and/or incorrect tightening of the two bolts which hold the door to the vehicle body. To correct this condition, inspect for and address any damage to the door and/or latch components, then remove and reinstall the suspect door following the instructions located in the Digital Owners Manual, Removable Vehicle Components > Removable Doors > Removing and Installing the Doors. In this section you ll also find a detailed tutorial video of the process. If the noise persists, perform the Front/Rear Door Alignment procedure located in the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-03 Body Closures.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
