| TSB 22-2360 | 2022-09-30. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK. This article supersedes TSB 22-2210 to update the expected release date of the revised ABS module software. Customers who neutral (4-wheel flat) tow 2021-2022 Broncos equipped with an electronic brake booster (EBB) may report an inconsistent brake assist when a supplemental braking system has been installed. This may result from supplemental brake system set-up that does not account for the Broncos EBB system entering sleep mode (via the ABS module) after a pre-determined period of time following vehicle shut-down. This functionality is necessary to prevent battery drain. Enhanced software is under development to address this condition when the vehicle enters Neutral Tow mode. The new software is expected to be available in December 2022. Monitor OASIS for updates. Until the software becomes available, customers who meet this criteria may perform the procedures below to address this condition when neutral (4-wheel flat) towing their vehicle. |
| TSB 22-2354 | 2022-09-23. Service bulletin. ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL (ESC); SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC. Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator and stability-traction control indicator, and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1013:09 stored in the ABS module. This may be due to ABS module software. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the ABS module software. |

Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.7L or 3.0L EcoBoost engine may exhibit multiple error messages displayed in the IPC followed by automatic engagement of the parking brake immediately after starting the vehicle with the doors removed or after sitting in the vehicle for an extended period of time with the vehicle off. This may be due to the software within the anti-lock brake (ABS) module. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the ABS module. |
| SSM 50951 | 2022-07-29. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with an EBB may exhibit multiple error messages displayed in the IPC followed by automatic engagement of the parking brake immediately after starting the vehicle with the doors removed or after sitting in the vehicle for an extended period of time with the vehicle off. The issue will resolve itself once the brake pedal is no longer depressed or the parking brake is manually disengaged. This may be due to the software within the anti-lock brake (ABS) module. This issue can be avoided by placing the vehicle in accessory mode for a few seconds before starting the engine. Engineering is working on improved software to correct this condition that will be available in November 2022. No repairs should be made in attempt to correct this condition. Monitor OASIS for updates. |
| TSB 22-2255 | 2022-07-01. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE; SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles built on or before 14-Mar-2022 and equipped with a 2.7L engine may exhibit the inability to disable the traction control system using the traction control on/off switch located on the instrument panel. This may be due to the software within the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure and update the ABS software. |
| TSB 22-2210 | 2022-05-31. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Customers who neutral (4-wheel flat) tow 2021-2022 Broncos equipped with an electronic brake booster (EBB) may report an inconsistent brake assist when a supplemental braking system has been installed. This may result from supplemental brake system set-up that does not account for the Bronco's EBB system entering sleep mode (via the ABS module) after a pre-determined period of time following vehicle shut-down. This functionality is necessary to prevent battery drain. Enhanced software is under development to address this condition when the vehicle enters Neutral Tow mode. The new software is expected to be available in September 2022. Monitor OASIS for updates. Until the software becomes available, customers who meet this criteria may perform the procedures below to address this condition when neutral (4-wheel flat) towing their vehicle. |
| SSM 50713 | 2022-05-03. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2021-2022 F-150/Bronco and 2022 Expedition/Navigator vehicles may exhibit an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) indicator and stability-traction control indicator when ambient temperatures are below freezing, and diagnostic trouble code (DTC) C1013:09 stored in the ABS module. This may be due to ABS module software parameters and the effects of low ambient temperature on brake fluid viscosity. This condition does not affect brake system hydraulic functionality. Clear the DTC to restore ABS and stability-traction control functionality and inform customers that Ford is developing a software update which will be delivered to the vehicle via an over-the-air (OTA) ABS update in November 2022 to prevent this condition. |

Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with parking aid sensors may exhibit a park aid system that does not remain deactivated after the vehicle has been off for more than 5 minutes. The vehicle may exhibit false alerts from the parking aid warning system which may cause it to activate while driving or towing or due to the presence of a winch. This may be due to the software within the instrument panel cluster (IPC). To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure and update the IPC software. |
| SSM 50314 | 2021-12-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with the 2.3L engine may exhibit a red brake warning lamp and/or brake system warning message in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P050F in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module and a firm brake pedal. This may be due to contamination in a brake booster vacuum line. To correct this condition, replace the vehicle's vacuum hose (MB3Z-2420-A). Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 206-09 for installation instructions. For claiming, use casual part 2420. |
| SSM 50296 | 2021-12-07. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some 2021 Ranger and Bronco vehicles built on 15-Jun-2021 and through 15-Aug-2021 may exhibit an illuminated anti-lock brake system (ABS) warning indicator lamp with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) C003A, C0036, C0037, and/or C0039 stored in the ABS control module. This may be due to damage or movement of the ABS tone ring on the rear axle. Remove the ABS sensor and inspect the rear ABS tone ring for damage or movement from its original position. If movement or damage has occurred, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 205-02 to complete the service procedure for axle shaft replacement. The brake rotors should only be machined if directed by the WSM because one or more of the following conditions are present on the braking surface: scoring, excessive corrosion/rust or pitting, bluing/discoloration and/or heat spots. For additional information, refer to WSM section 206-00. |
| SSM 49920 | 2021-08-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; PARKING BRAKE:ELECTRICAL; EQUIPMENT. Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with front and rear parking aid sensors may set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for all 8 parking aid sensors/circuits if 2 or more rear parking aid sensors/circuits have a concern. This is due to the software within the parking aid module (PAM), and module replacement will not resolve this condition. If the PAM sets DTCs for all 8 parking aid sensors/circuits, diagnose the rear parking aid sensor and circuit DTCs first. Reference Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-13A for parking aid diagnostic information. Ford is currently working on a software update that is expected to be available August 2021. The customer can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment for October, when software is expected to be available. Follow up with the customer to confirm the appointment once OASIS confirms software availability. |
