RCA-96-23-002-12023-12-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 and 2023 R1S and R1T vehicles that may have been built with a suspect auxiliary air compressor control panel. Due to a supplier quality issue, the display may show inaccurate pressure readings of approximately +/- 10%. If the compressor is used to fill the tires, slightly inaccurate pressure readings may result in slightly overinflated or slightly underinflated tires but will not affect the performance of the vehicle. Tire pressures will be accurately measured by the TPMS and shown in the driver display. Rivian will replace the auxiliary air compressor control panel with an upgraded component. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

RCA-78-22-013-12022-12-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles which may have been built with a body control module (BCM) that was incorrectly assembled by the supplier. An incorrectly assembled BCM may cease functioning, which would cause an affected vehicle to enter a reduced performance safe state mode and a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display. Although this condition has only been observed in one customer vehicle, it is possible that an affected vehicle could lose all exterior lighting and all electronic door locking functionality simultaneously with entering the reduced performance safe state mode. If a locked condition occurs, the vehicle can be exited by pulling the interior door handle twice. Rivian will replace the body control module in the affected vehicles. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-78-22-010-12022-08-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with an improperly routed cowl harness. If this harness is improperly routed, there is a potential for this harness to make contact with the windshield wiper mechanism during wiper use. If the harness contacts the windshield wiper mechanism and this condition persists over time, the vehicle may experience a rub-through of the wires in the harness. This potential rub-through condition may result in effects ranging from no function loss (if a redundant circuit is damaged) to disabled restraint, crash detection or other performance systems/modes. If there is a function loss, a fault indicator light will illuminate on the driver display alerting the driver to have service performed on their vehicle and/or the vehicle will enter into a reduced performance safe-state mode and a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display. Rivian will inspect the harness and reroute, repair, or replace it if necessary to correct the condition. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-78-22-009-12022-07-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with a trapped jump start wire harness. This condition would prevent the jump start wire harness from being accessed in order to supply power to the 12V batteries from an external power source, preventing the vehicle from being “jump started” in the event of an over-discharged 12V battery. Rivian will inspect the jump start wire harness and reroute it if necessary. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-78-22-008-12022-07-07. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with older firmware. If the vehicle has not been updated, the user may experience impaired vehicle access when using key cards or wrist bands. If there is a loss of key card and wrist band function, the vehicle can still be unlocked, accessed, and activated through other means, including the Rivian provided key fob, phone app, or remote unlock from Rivian Service. Rivian will perform a 12V reset and update the vehicle firmware to correct this issue. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-34-22-001-12022-07-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with an onboard charger that cannot charge on alternating current (AC). The part supplier shipped onboard chargers that were built with a faulty component. Though AC charging may be disabled in these vehicles, direct current (DC) fast charging is still functional. Rivian will replace the onboard charger. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-14-22-002-12022-07-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING; SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK:WHEEL SPEED SENSOR; EQUIPMENT. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with a low clearance condition between the front wheel speed sensor wire harness and the front dust shield. If the wheel speed sensor touches the front dust shield and this condition persists over time, the vehicle may experience a rub-through of the wires in the wheel speed sensor wire harness. The potential rub-through condition may cause the vehicle to enter into a reduced performance safe-state mode and a fault indicator light will illuminate on the driver display alerting the driver to have service performed on their vehicle. Rivian will inspect and, if necessary, reroute the harness or replace the wheel speed sensor to correct the condition. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-78-22-005-12022-05-06. Service bulletin. STEERING:COLUMN; EXTERIOR LIGHTING; EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with a low clearance condition between the cowl harness and the steering column. If the cowl harness touches the steering column and this condition persists over time, the vehicle may experience a wear-through condition of the wires in the cowl harness. The potential wear-through condition may affect the steering angle sensor and/or turn signal wiring. If the steering angle sensor wiring is affected, the vehicle will enter into a reduced performance safe-state mode and a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display alerting the driver to have service performed on their vehicle. If the turn signal wiring is affected, the turn signals may not properly function and a fault indicator light will illuminate on the driver display alerting the driver to have service performed. Rivian will install a cable tie to ensure clearance between the cowl harness and the steering column. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-78-22-004-12022-04-06. Service bulletin. AIR BAGS; SEAT BELTS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some 2022 R1T vehicles that may experience a wire harness clip becoming unseated under the front passenger seat. If this clip becomes unseated, there is a potential for this harness to make contact with the seat track during seat movement. While this potential contact has not been observed to date in any vehicle, it could result in damage to the wires inside the harness, which includes wires connecting to the seat belt anchor pre-tensioner, the seat-mounted side airbag, occupant classification sensor (OCS), and/or other seat functions such as powered movement. Damage to the occupant protection-related wires would illuminate the airbag warning light. If unrepaired, the damage may impact performance of the seat belt anchor pretensioner and OCS. If damage to the OCS wires results in a loss of the OCS, the system defaults to a 50% male deployment profile, deploying the passenger airbag if needed. The primary function of the seat belt and its retractor pretensioner would not be affected under the damaged wire condition described above. Rivian will inspect the front passenger seat body harness edge clip and wiring, reseating the edge clip as necessary. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with incorrect High Voltage (HV) cable brackets on the front drive unit. If the incorrect brackets are installed, the high voltage cables might become chafed over time, resulting in a "System Failure" indicator light and a notification that the vehicle needs service. Rivian will inspect the front drive unit HV cable brackets. If the incorrect brackets are installed, they will be replaced. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-78-22-002-12022-03-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles. The gear guard camera wiring, contained within the spoiler assembly, may emit an electrical signal noise to the nearby high precision global navigation satellite system (GNSS) antenna which is also contained within the spoiler assembly. The signal noise may result in a loss of the highway assist feature. If the highway assist feature is engaged when this condition occurs, the driver will receive a driver takeover request with a “Highway Ending Soon” message on the driver display. If the driver is attempting to engage highway assist, the “Highway Assist Not Available” notification will appear on the driver display. Rivian will replace the existing spoiler with a spoiler that has improved wiring that will not degrade the GNSS signal. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
RCA-78-22-003-12022-02-07. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may be experiencing impaired telematic functionality due to lack of connectivity.
