Service bulletins for the 2022 Rivian R1T
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| RCA-10-23-002-1 | 2023-05-04. Service bulletin. STEERING. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 and 2023 R1T and R1S vehicles. On these vehicles, the steering wheel may not be properly aligned to the steering rack. This condition is noticeable to the customer but would not result in any changes in the performance of the vehicle. Rivian will inspect the steering wheel alignment and, if necessary, realign the components. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles. |
| RCA-78-22-005-1 | 2022-05-06. Service bulletin. STEERING:COLUMN; EXTERIOR LIGHTING; EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 R1T vehicles that may have been built with a low clearance condition between the cowl harness and the steering column. If the cowl harness touches the steering column and this condition persists over time, the vehicle may experience a wear-through condition of the wires in the cowl harness. The potential wear-through condition may affect the steering angle sensor and/or turn signal wiring. If the steering angle sensor wiring is affected, the vehicle will enter into a reduced performance safe-state mode and a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display alerting the driver to have service performed on their vehicle. If the turn signal wiring is affected, the turn signals may not properly function and a fault indicator light will illuminate on the driver display alerting the driver to have service performed. Rivian will install a cable tie to ensure clearance between the cowl harness and the steering column. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles. |
