Service bulletins for the 2022 Ford Maverick
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSB 23-2059 | 2023-03-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. Some 2022 Maverick vehicles equipped with a 2.5L full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) powertrain may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0402 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to fault detection ratio threshold of the differential pressure feedback exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) sensor. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram various modules starting with the PCM and diagnose the differential pressure feedback EGR sensor. |
| TSB 22-2493 | 2023-01-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. Some 2022 Maverick vehicles equipped with a 2.5L full hybrid electric vehicle (FHEV) powertrain may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0402 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) or brakes grab during light braking at or below 6.2 mph (10 km/h). This may be due to the software in the anti-lock brake system (ABS) module. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram various modules starting with the PCM. |
| SSM 51202 | 2022-11-30. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2022 Maverick vehicles may exhibit a condition of intermittent headlamp operation while the vehicle is OFF and have diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1533 stored in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to the internal logic within the headlamp switch. Switch and/or module replacement will not resolve this condition. Headlamp operation is not affected while the vehicle is ON. A new headlamp switch is currently under development to correct this condition. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment in January 2023, when parts are expected to become available. Follow up with the customer to confirm the appointment once OASIS is updated with the repair information. |

The vehicle may also exhibit a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with DTCs P0036:00 and/or P0138:00 stored in the PCM. This may be caused by water intrusion in the connector C1050. Prior to performing Workshop Manual (WSM) diagnostics, inspect the male and/or female connector C1050 for signs of corrosion or water intrusion. If water or corrosion is found, replace the male and/or female connector C1050 with a pigtail kit and apply electrical grease. |
| SSM 50975 | 2022-08-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2017-2022 Ford/Lincoln customers may experience a notification in the FordPass®/LincolnWay® app indicating Vehicle Has Entered Deep Sleep Mode. This occurs when the vehicle has not been started for 14 consecutive days, battery voltage is at/below 9.5 volts or the body control module (BCM) 12 volt battery state of charge (SOC) drops below 50%. A warning may also set if the telematic control unit (TCU) has received an over the air update. The TCU powers down all communication when in this mode and app features are disabled. Manually start the vehicle to wake if from mode. More information is located in the app under: Account > Help > search 'Deep Sleep' in the entry box. If the condition remains, check the BCM 12v SOC. If the SOC does not change after charging the battery or after BMS reset is performed, continue with normal battery and/or BMS sensor diagnostics. |
