Service bulletins for the 2021 Ford Bronco
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

The PTS OTA Dashboard on vehicles with this condition may also display multiple APIM and/or TCU updates have failed, and/or a no OTA history message. In addition, on vehicles with this condition, the customer may have reported experiencing a Ford Power-Up software update failure message via the vehicle display and/or FordPass/LincolnWay. This may be due to an internal software error. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to update and/or recover the APIM/TCU. Note: Only 10% of vehicles may require this procedure. |
| SSM 51212 | 2022-11-30. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE. Some 2021-2022 Bronco vehicles equipped with a 2.7/3.0L engine may experience a loss of the go over any terrain (GOAT) mode and/or differential locking function when two diagonal wheels lose traction simultaneously while the other two wheels maintain traction. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0415 may be set in several modules. The issue should correct itself after the vehicle is driven on flat ground and over 28 MPH for a few minutes. This may be due to the software within the anti-lock brake system module (ABS). To correct this condition, reprogram the ABS module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) scan tool. For claiming, use casual part 2C219. |
| SSM 51201 | 2022-11-30. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS. This may be accompanied by an intermittent firm brake pedal after driving for long periods at highway speeds. This may be due to improper sealing of an internal diaphragm within a brake booster vacuum line. To correct this condition, replace the vehicle's vacuum line with the latest version service part number MB3Z-2420-H or later. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 206-09 for installation instructions. For claiming, use casual part 2420. |

The vehicle may also have multiple communication fault diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) setting in and/or related to the high speed control area network 2 (HS-CAN2) modules. This may be due to a loose and/or improperly seated connector C210. If the vehicle exhibits the above conditions, access and inspect connector C210 for proper attachment and/or damage and repair as necessary. If this fault persists, refer to Workshop Manual, Section 418-00A and continue with normal diagnostics. For claiming, use causal part 14290 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. |

| TSB 22-2360 | 2022-09-30. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES, AIR:ANTILOCK. This article supersedes TSB 22-2210 to update the expected release date of the revised ABS module software. Customers who neutral (4-wheel flat) tow 2021-2022 Broncos equipped with an electronic brake booster (EBB) may report an inconsistent brake assist when a supplemental braking system has been installed. This may result from supplemental brake system set-up that does not account for the Broncos EBB system entering sleep mode (via the ABS module) after a pre-determined period of time following vehicle shut-down. This functionality is necessary to prevent battery drain. Enhanced software is under development to address this condition when the vehicle enters Neutral Tow mode. The new software is expected to be available in December 2022. Monitor OASIS for updates. Until the software becomes available, customers who meet this criteria may perform the procedures below to address this condition when neutral (4-wheel flat) towing their vehicle. |
