A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Some 2021 Bronco, Edge/Nautilus customers may be unable to authorize the FordPass/LincolnWay app and the Enable Connected Services prompt is not showing in the SYNC screen with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) present in the telematics control unit (TCU) or the gateway module A (GWM). Before any repair attempts, try to authorize the vehicle via FordPass/LincolnWay app in order to verify the concern is still present. If the concern is present, make sure the GWM is at the latest software level. Start a new FDRS session and make sure the TCU is at the latest software level. If no software updates are available, remove the TCU and GWM fuses to reset the modules. Make sure the customer is able to authorize the vehicle from FordPass/LincolnWay to confirm the repair. If the concern is still present, follow normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00. |

Some 2021 Broncos built on or before 24-Aug-2021 may exhibit a whistle noise coming from the front center of the vehicle and/or the climate control housing. This may be due to the sealing on the climate control case. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to apply butyl tape to cover small holes in the fresh air inlet door. |
| TSB 21-2345 | 2021-11-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:HOOD:HINGE AND ATTACHMENTS; EQUIPMENT; STRUCTURE:BODY:HOOD. Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with the Big Bend or Outer Banks trim levels built on or before 06-Aug-2021 may exhibit a whistle noise originating from the front of the hood area when traveling at speeds above 30 mph (50 km/h). If the whistle noise can be eliminated by taping off the gap between the hood and grille opening, this condition may be due to the hood seal design. To correct this condition, replace the hood seal with the improved hood seal. |
| TSB 21-2339 | 2021-11-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:ROOF AND PILLARS; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with a soft top roof may experience paint scratches on the sports tube due to contact with the soft top roof frame during the open and close operation. This may be due to a lack of protective measures installed on the soft top roof frame. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to apply protective hook and loop fasteners to sections of the soft top roof frame. |
| SSM 50149 | 2021-09-28. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with front and rear parking aid sensors may set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for all 8 parking aid sensors and/or circuits. This may be due to the software within the parking aid module (PAM). To correct the condition, reprogram the PAM using the latest software level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. For claiming, use causal part 15K866 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. After PAM programing check for DTCs and correct as necessary. |
| SSM 50148 | 2021-09-28. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2021 Bronco vehicles may experience multiple warning indicators / messages displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) and/or multiple communication fault diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) setting in and/or related to the HS2-CAN modules. This may be due to a loose and/or improperly seated connector C210. If the vehicle exhibits the above conditions, access and inspect connector C210 for proper attachment and/or damage and repair as necessary. To access the connector, remove the right side lower cowl side panel (follow Workshop Manual, (WSM) Section 415-00 > Removal and Installation > A-Pillar Speaker, Steps 9-10) and the glove compartment (follow WSM Section 501-12 > Removal and Installation > Glove Compartment). If this fault persists, refer to WSM Section 418-00A and continue with normal diagnostics. |
| 21B49 | 2021-09-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; EQUIPMENT. In all of the affected vehicles, a quality concern on the molded-in color hard top roof was identified during our quality inspections. This concern is strictly an appearance issue as the function of the roof is uncompromised. The exposed or unsealed hard top edges may cause unsatisfactory appearance when exposed to extreme water and humidity. |
| SSM 50065 | 2021-09-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Some 2021 Bronco 5 door models equipped with a hard top roof configuration may exhibit poor Sirius XM satellite radio reception and or signal loss in rural areas with dense foliage, tall buildings, or other similar obstructions. No additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition that is expected to be available for service in January 2022. In addition, if the vehicle is equipped with the optional factory roof rails and crossbars this may further degrade the reception. Removing the roof rails and crossbars may improve reception performance. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule a service appointment with the customer once the repair becomes available. |
| SSM 49920 | 2021-08-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; PARKING BRAKE:ELECTRICAL; EQUIPMENT. Some 2021 Bronco vehicles equipped with front and rear parking aid sensors may set diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) for all 8 parking aid sensors/circuits if 2 or more rear parking aid sensors/circuits have a concern. This is due to the software within the parking aid module (PAM), and module replacement will not resolve this condition. If the PAM sets DTCs for all 8 parking aid sensors/circuits, diagnose the rear parking aid sensor and circuit DTCs first. Reference Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-13A for parking aid diagnostic information. Ford is currently working on a software update that is expected to be available August 2021. The customer can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment for October, when software is expected to be available. Follow up with the customer to confirm the appointment once OASIS confirms software availability. |
| SSM 49911 | 2021-07-02. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some 2021 Broncos equipped with exterior zone lighting may experience an intermittent single hazard lamp flash when hazards are turned off. This condition is due to a software issue within the vehicles body control module (BCM). This fault is induced anytime a customer activates then deactivates exterior zone lighting lamps while the engine is OFF. This may generate a single hazard lamp flash when the engine is shut off or during an engine auto-start-stop event. Inform customers that this condition can be temporarily corrected by activating then deactivating the exterior zone lighting feature while the engine is running. Engineering is currently working on new software to correct the condition that is expected to be available in October 2021. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment for repair in November 2021. Monitor OASIS for updates. |
| 20B56 | 2021-01-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR:HINGE AND ATTACHMENTS; EQUIPMENT. There is expected to be a low number of vehicles found with a concern door handle. In some of the affected vehicles, the interior door handle may have excessive material present on the door handle cavity. This can cause the door handle cable to bind during operation. If the cable binds, it may result in a door that cannot be opened from the inside. The door can still be opened using the exterior door handle. It is also possible that the door cannot be closed. If the door will not close, the instrument cluster will illuminate with a Door Ajar warning |
