Service bulletins for the 2019 Mazda Mazda3

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

827 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

09-003-19-3555a2019-03-20. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING; EXTERIOR LIGHTING:HEADLIGHTS; EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS. Some customers may complain of condensation/fog inside the front (headlamp/headlight) or rear (taillamp/taillight) combination lights. The recent new models have been fitted with a clear lens which can cause the symptom to be more noticeable, however, it does not affect the performance of the light. This condensation/fog is a natural phenomenon that occurs when there is a fairly large temperature difference between the inside and the outside of the light housing. It is normal for very small water drops to appear in certain locations on the light units where the air is stagnant (condensation), making the lens look whitish (fog). This happens mostly in the corners and narrow spaces, and will typically clear during warmer ambient temperatures, or when the lights have been on for some time.

When servicing front wipers, front wiper service mode is required or damage to wiper arms may occur (see Service Information). 3. If wiper arms are replaced, M-MDS is needed for wiper arm adjustment (see Service Information) 4. DO NOT use wiper arms as markers when in dealer inventory.
SA-008-192019-03-11. Service bulletin. SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:SEAT HEATER/COOLER; SEATS. Some customers may complain that their seat warmers do not turn on when the engine is restarted after being left on when turning off the engine. The logic has changed from previous Mazdas where the seat warmers automatically turned on when the engine was restarted. Customers in cold weather are more likely to complain about this if their vehicle is equipped with Mazda Mobile Start (MMS) because the MMS accessory instructions state the seat warmers WILL turn on when the engine is restarted. This information is incorrect for these vehicles. NOTE: The instructions in the vehicle owner's manual are correct.
SA-007-192019-03-11. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. SiriusXM Traffic Plus and Travel Link are displayed with Mazda in-vehicle factory navigation systems. Both of these services provide information in the U.S. & Canada. NOTE: SiriusXM Traffic Plus and Travel Link subscription is free of charge for 3 years only if equipped with factory installed navigation system. NOTE: 2019 Mazda3 is not equipped with factory installed navigation system, however, it is available as a dealer installed accessory. SiriusXM Traffic Plus and Travel Link are available on the 2019 Mazda3 Preferred Package and above, as a paid subscription. Traffic Plus feature requires in-vehicle navigation SD card. SiriusXM Satellite Radio trial subscription is free of charge for 3 months.
SA-006-192019-03-11. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain about a MAZDA CONNECT system reboot or blank screen. Use the flowchart below to repair the vehicle.
DRW182019-03-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. 1) Center Body Control Module (C-BCM) software concern. The average fuel economy may not be calculated / indicated correctly. 2) Vehicle Control Module (VCM) software concern. The Smart Brake Support (SBS) OFF indicator light may turn on. The personalization menus of i-ACTIVESENSE may not be displayed in the center display. Causal factor: Inappropriate software of C-BCM and VCM.
MT-012-182019-03-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; STEERING. If a vehicle has body vibration or steering wheel shimmy while driving and the root cause is determined to be tire balance, re-balance the tires using a Hunter GSP9700 or equivalent balance machine. If your dealer does not have a GSP9700 or equivalent balance machine, sublet the vehicle out for repair. To find the location of a GSP9700 near your dealer, visit Hunter?s web site at www.gsp9700.com and click on ?Locate a GSP9700 Road Force Balancer.?
09-009-19-35662019-02-19. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. In accordance with Federal regulations, follow the procedure listed below when replacing a speedometer. NOTE: Tampering with a motor vehicle odometer is strictly prohibited by Federal, and State laws. It is the dealer's responsibility to comply with Federal, State, and local laws concerning odometer and related documentation requirements when providing a repair or replacement. Mazda vehicles are manufactured with tamper-proof speedometers. When a speedometer is replaced, the new speedometer will read zero (0) miles. This procedure is extremely important to accurately represent actual vehicle mileage. Prior to speedometer removal, complete the information required on the "Speedometer Replacement Label". Labels can only be ordered through Mazda eStore. In an effort to achieve a higher level of Customer Experience and retain the value of Mazda's vehicles, MNAO Warranty Operations is allowing all Mazda dealers to utilize a third party, SPECMO Enterprises, Inc., for Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) odometer setting service. With the use of SPECMO's services, it is possible that the odometer will be set between 10 to 31 miles over the odometer mileage at the time of replacement for both warranty and customer pay repairs. Please make sure that the customer is aware that there may be a slight variance to the odometer, in which case the customer may have to accept the slightly higher mileage. Since odometer setting service is not part of the warranty repair, it is not warrantable nor required, but optional. However, Mazda Warranty policy provides after-warranty assistance (AWA) or DSA that can be utilized to cover this service expense.
09-008-19-35652019-02-19. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. Some vehicles may experience stains appearing on the hood, roof and/or trunk of the vehicle. This concern is most likely to be found in cold weather areas just after the RAPGARD is removed at PDI. This may be caused by moisture which has been trapped and condensed between the paint and the RAPGARD. These types of stains can be removed with a heat gun or an infrared drier. If you encounter this concern during PDI, use a heat gun or an infrared drier to apply heat to the affected area to remove the stain(s).
09-007-19-35642019-02-19. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some vehicles may exhibit a Connectivity Master Unit (CMU), a BLUETOOTH® hands-free unit or text messaging related concerns. To improve the handling of BLUETOOTH® hands-free and/or text messaging customer concerns, Mazda created a special service and parts exchange program as of February 2010. Customers experiencing related concerns should have their vehicle and/or device inspected according to the following procedure.

Copies of the Mazda Pocket Paint Guide are available for order on Mazda e-Store (part number: 9999-95-MPPG-12).
09-004-19-35432019-02-19. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Mazda infotainment systems require contacting the proper source for diagnostic support, parts authorization, and parts exchange. Some components require prior authorization before ordering as exchange. Refer to DAG Exchange Central (MXConnect>Parts and Accessories>Parts>Programs>Exchange Central) for component availability, source of technical support and prior authorization requirement. NOTE: Always check for a TSB that may modify or eliminate prior authorization for a specific symptom for a given component.
09-003-19-35552019-02-19. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Some customers may complain of condensation/fog inside the front (headlamp/headlight) or rear (taillamp/taillight) combination lights. Inappropriate floor mat (such as aftermarket, non-factory-equipped, or non-genuine) is used. Floor mat is stacked one on top of another.

The summaries are NHTSA's. Each bulletin's page links NHTSA's copy of the manufacturer's document.
