This Preliminary information communicates that a dealer may order a replacement hood latch and find that it comes with a three wire connector where the vehicle originally had a two wire connector on the hood latch. The technician is instructed on how to properly wire the new hood latch to the vehicle.

PIC61602016-07-07. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:COOLING SYSTEM:FAN; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:WIRING. Some customers may comment that the engine cooling fan intermittently stops working. As this condition worsens, it may be found that the Check Engine Lamp (CEL) has turned on, the engine cooling fan stops operating all together and/or a P0480 DTC may be set. If the customer would continue driving with an inoperative cooling fan, the engine can overheat causing severe engine component damage.
