Service bulletins for the 2011 Audi Q7
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| A571382 2017082- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 57 number 11-55 dated August 22, 2011. Central locking via remote control does not work either sporadically or permanently. The locks can still be operated manually. Missing synchronization between the remote control key and vehicle because the battery has been disconnected or the battery of the remote control has been replaced. If other senders operate in the same frequency range (mobile phones, TV stations, wireless headphones, baby monitors, other vehicle remote controls, etc.), the remote control key may have been temporarily switched off because a clear identification of the remote control key is not possible. This is necessary to prevent an unintentional unlocking of the vehicle by other unrelated senders. |

| A441336 2022563- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 44 number 13-35 dated January 18, 2013. Customer feels vibration from 55 - 80 mph (88 - 128 km/h) in the seat, vehicle floor, footwell, pedals, or steering wheel. This condition does not result in any handling concerns or loss of vehicle control. |
| A371392 2030370- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 37 number 12-60 dated August 6, 2012. Customer complains that the transmission malfunction warning appears in the cluster. Customer is unable to select gear. GFF scan of the vehicle finds fault P070600 (driving position sensor - implausible signal) logged in the transmission control module (diagnosis address 02). The test plan points to the F125 multi-function switch as the cause. Corrosion on the pins of the multi-function switch and its counterpart can lead to implausible signals. |
| A171336 2030197- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 17 number 12-34 dated December 12, 2012. Customer complains of excessive oil consumption. In order to provide effective lubrication and cooling of internal engine components, all internal combustion engines consume a certain amount of engine oil. Oil consumption varies from engine to engine and may change significantly over the life of the engine. Typically, engines with specified break-in periods consume more oil during the break-in period, and the oil consumption will stabilize after the break-in period. Refer to the Owner's Manual for specific break-in procedures. Under normal conditions, the rate of oil consumption depends on the quality and viscosity of the oil, the RPM at which the engine is operated, the ambient temperature, and road conditions. Additional factors are the amount of oil dilution from water condensation or fuel residue and the oxidation level of the oil. Under certain driving conditions, internal engine pressure conditions in the 3.0 TFSI engine can negatively influence the rate of oil consumption. This can occur while the vehicle is operated in city driving conditions, for example: stop and go traffic with extended idle periods. |
| A941316 2033675- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS. The customer may report that the tail lamp lighting does not switch between the rear lid and the bumper when the lid is operated. DTC 03703 (Rear lid -closed- sensor) may be stored in the comfort system central control module, J393 (address word 46). |
| A941315 2027755- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING:TAIL LIGHTS. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 11-59 dated December 7, 2011. Bugs are trapped inside the rear taillight housing. Bugs can be seen inside the housing, and there are no external markings indicating the taillight has been hit or has been previously damaged due to outside influence. Bugs are able to enter the taillight housing because the seal around the housing is not tight enough. |
| A661328 2029586- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES:EXTERIOR. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 66 number 12-23 dated August 3, 2012. The customer may report hearing wind noise while driving at highway speeds. The noise may occur on either side of the vehicle. Wind noise may be coming from either the mirror base or the lane change assist lamp. Improved parts are available. |

| A431315 2033587- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Self-leveling suspension cannot be adjusted during extremely cold weather. The self-leveling suspension warning light is illuminated in the instrument cluster. The self-leveling suspension operates normally again after the vehicle has been parked for a while in a garage or in the sun. DTC 20645 003 (valves for self-leveling control, mechanical fault) is present in the level control system module, J197 (address word 34). If the dryer on the air supply unit (air compressor) has taken in humidity for a long period of time, it may become saturated. As a result, the increased air humidity may get into the solenoid valve block and create condensation. In freezing temperatures, the condensation can freeze and block the valves, a condition that is recognized as a mechanical fault by the vehicle's self-diagnosis. Humidity can also enter the system if there is too much water in the air filter housing. Excess water can enter the air filter housing if the vehicle is driven in deep water or exposed to splashing water for an extended period of time (such as during off-road use). |
| A431314 2018765- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION:REAR:SPRINGS:AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM; SUSPENSION:FRONT:SPRINGS:AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 43 number 12-11 dated October 29, 2012. The self-leveling system can no longer be adjusted with the MMI. The compressor for the self-leveling system continues to run after the engine has been switched off and the vehicle has been locked. DTCs may be stored in the level control system module, J197 (address word 34). Because of poor performance or failure of the air suspension compressor, the vehicle ride height cannot be adjusted. As a safeguard, the control module will lower the vehicle to the lowest position and illuminate the warning light. Drivability is not affected. |

| A911380 2032706- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:RADIO/TAPE DECK/CD ETC.. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 91 number 13-73 dated January 25, 2013. Customer complains of a "popping" noise from the radio followed by 10-15 seconds of no audio. The concern can happen in any audio source. Vehicle is equipped with MMI 3G or MMI 3G+ infotainment systems. Vehicle is not equipped with Bose or Bang & Olufsen sound systems. An ignition cycle is not required for audio to resume. The problem originates in the HD radio code, which can create a "resetting" within the radio unit. Because the tuner is always active in the background, the problem can occur regardless of the audio source or if the HD radio is on or off. It can also occur at any point that the MMI is on, but not necessarily active. For example, the customer opens a door and the MMI starts up. Even though the system is not ?on? because the ignition is not active, the tuner is running and can create the effect. |
| A941310 2029194- | 2017-11-17. Service bulletin. EXTERIOR LIGHTING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Supersedes Technical Service Bulletin Group 94 number 13-03 dated February 1, 2013. The customer may report that the handheld transmitter cannot be programmed to the garage door opener control module, J530. The customer?s door opener system may not be compatible with J530. The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. The battery in the handheld transmitter may be too weak for a good signal. The battery charge may be sufficient to operate the garage door opener, but not enough to program the remote transmitter to the vehicle system. In A4 model years 2005?2006 and A3 model year 2009, the actual location of the garage door opener control module differs from the location shown in the owner's manual (opposite side of front bumper). The customer may misunderstand the programming procedure, particularly if the customer?s HomeLink® opener system is using an alternate code. The handheld transmitter?s programming function may become inoperative, or the transmitter is too far away from J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. Interference prevents the communication between handheld transmitter and J530. If the vehicle flashes during the programming of a handheld transmitter, this does not necessarily indicate that the programming was successful; it only indicates that the vehicle has recognized and saved a signal. |
