DTCs "B1030:13" and/or "B1032:13" are stored. This is caused by the seat warmer's fail-safe mode which prevents it from working during the initial drive cycle. To correct this issue, the seat warmer has been modified to optimize the temperature control. - B1030:13 Seat warmer unit (LH) circuit malfunction (Heater side) - B1032:13 Seat warmer unit (RH) circuit malfunction (Heater side) |
| 09-019-22a | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may experience one or both of the following symptoms while locking and unlocking the doors works fine using the remote transmitter. - Symptom 1: The touch sensor of the front door outer handle does not lock the doors after rain and/or car washing, even though unlocking is possible. - Symptom 2: The touch sensor of the front door outer handle does not unlock the doors. - Cause 1 (for Symptom 1): Water may accumulate around the touch sensor in the outer handle, resulting in temporary lower sensitivity of the capacitive sensor. Also, if car wash foam gets inside the outer handle while washing the vehicle, the foam may disturb the touch sensor detection. Mazda is still working on a mass production change for this concern. - Cause 2 (for Symptom 2): Improper soldering in the production process may disturb the touch sensor detection. To eliminate this concern, the production process has been modified. |
| 09-001-22a | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. Some vehicles may experience white-streak stains appearing on the front door that look like they seeped out from under the outer mirror base. This is caused by water intruding from gaps of the outer mirror body and/or the hinge of the outer mirror, and corrosion occurring on the aluminum die-cast inner base in the outer mirror. Water, including white-salty corrosion, may drip out from gaps under the outer mirror base resulting in white stains on the front door. To eliminate this concern, the front outer mirror inner base has been modified. |
| 02-004-22a | 2022-12-02. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Some customers may complain of signs of oil on the struts or shock absorbers. In most cases the oil that is present is normal, and a result of the oil that remains on the shaft during the normal sweeping process of the shaft seal. Follow the inspection guidelines below to determine if the condition is a result of the normal sweeping process or a failure of the shaft seal. |
| 09-028-22a | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE. Some vehicles may exhibit the glass run channel of the front door interfering with the rear door garnish. This is caused by the front door glass run channel not being fixed strongly enough to the door for the following situations where the cycles of door operation may result in interference and lead to damage on the rear door garnish. * When the front door glass is closed, the glass run channel may be forced to move to the B pillar side. * During very hot weather, the glass run channel may expand to the B pillar side. To eliminate this concern, the design of the front door glass run channel has been changed to be fixed stronger to the door. |
| 09-016-22a | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT. Some customers may complain that the rear console lid does not slide smoothly. This may be caused by improperly positioned felt pads attached to the rear console lid lock, which may have moved out of position after repetitive use. The exposed adhesive residue may stick to the rail and disrupt smooth sliding operation. To eliminate this concern, the felt pad positions have been changed. |
| 07-004-22a | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain the A/C blows warm. This may be caused by one of two things. Cause 1: After accelerating in hot weather, the A/C blows warm air for a longer time than other models. This is caused by improper control software of the PCM not allowing the A/C compressor to resume properly after acceleration. During a hard acceleration above a certain throttle level opening, the PCM stops the A/C compressor operation for better acceleration. It then resumes the compressor operation after the acceleration. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the PCM has been modified. Cause 2: Insufficient cooling performance at ambient temperature of around 68 °F (20 °C) in daytime. This is caused when both the ambient temperature and the cabin temperature are at around 20 °C (68 °F), auto A/C set at around 20 °C (68 °F) may not cool down the cabin temperature properly. To eliminate this concern, control software of the dash-electrical supply unit (Dash-ESU) has been modified. |
| 01-013-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some customers may experience the CHECK ENGINE light ON with DTC P0126:00 (Thermostat stuck open) and one or more of the following symptoms: * The engine takes longer to warm up * The engine temperature gauge fluctuates * The low coolant temperature indicator (blue) light stays on longer or comes on while driving * Poor heater performance, especially at idle NOTE: * Vehicles with SKYACTIV-G 2.5T are not applicable. * If DTC P2B61:00 (Coolant control valve circuit range/performance) accompanies, this information is not applicable. Diagnose according to the instructions in MGSS. Due to production variety of the failsafe thermostat integrated in the coolant control valve, engine coolant may enter into a dry hollow in the failsafe thermostat, resulting in unintended opening of the failsafe thermostat at lower temperatures (104-176 °F (40-80 °C)). To eliminate this concern, the production process of the coolant control valve has been modified. |
| 01-012-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may exhibit accumulation of dried coolant (1) around the water pipe (2). This is caused by a gap between the housing and pipe due to a press fitting during the manufacturing process. The accumulated coolant is solidified and plugs the gap in high temperature environment and the seepage is stopped and does not progress. This is normal and does not require a part replacement, clean off the dried coolant from around the pipe with a wire brush. |
| SA-068-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. The new SKYACTIV-DRIVE FW6A-EL AT uses "Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) Type: FZ". Only use "ATF-FZ" to fill or top off the fluid level. ATF-FZ is specially designed for use in the SKYACTIV-DRIVE series AT. It is a low viscosity formula with less friction for better fuel economy. NOTE: ATF-FZ is colored blue for easy identification. |
| SA-067-22 | 2022-11-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain about the following message displayed in the Multi-Information Display: In the following cases, the MRCC with Stop & Go function system is canceled when the vehicle is traveling at 19 mph (30 km/h) or less: * The Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) cannot detect target objects due to one of the following: - The windshield is dirty - The FSC lens is foggy - There is low visibility due to rain, fog or snow - It is at night and there is not enough light - There is direct or reflected sunlight on the FSC - There is problem with the FSC * There is a problem with the AUTOHOLD control function. * There is a problem with the electric parking brake (EPB). |
