Service bulletins for the 2019 Mazda Mazda3
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 07-006-19-3629 | 2019-09-23. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some customers may experience that after starting the engine, the auto A/C blows warm air for about 10 minutes and then blows cool air as desired. This concern occurs when the ambient temperature is within a certain range (approx. 16-25 C / 61-77 F). This is caused by the control software of the Dash-Electrical Supply Unit (Dash-ESU) not being appropriate for this specific situation. To correct this concern, the control software of the Dash-ESU has been modified. |
| SA-039-19 | 2019-08-30. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. During BCM replacement, MDARS may display a Configuration Error warning message. | SA-038-19 | 2019-08-30. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. There is currently a known issue with the latest MDARS update and Mazda is working to resolve the issue. The concern is due to added functionality for the next release which can cause connection issues for some VCM-II's. Unfortunately the update cannot be stopped and MDARS cannot go back to a past version. This message will be updated when more information is available. |
| SA-037-19 | 2019-08-30. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. | SSPB6 | 2019-08-30. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. 2014-2016 Mazda3 – Mazda Connect Touch Screen Concern. Warranty Extension Program – Special Service Program (SSP) B6. Mazda Motor Corporation has decided to conduct a Special Service Program (SSP) to extend the warranty coverage for a concern regarding the Mazda Connect Center Display on certain 2014-2016 Mazda3 vehicles produced from June 11, 2013 through September 3, 2016. The warranty coverage for an applicable repair has been extended to 7 years (84 months) from the original warranty start date, with no mileage limitation. If you are a recipient of this notice, your vehicle is included in this warranty extension program. What is the problem? On certain 2014-2016 Mazda3 vehicles, the Mazda Connect touch screen in the center display may not accept touch commands properly or may operate by itself (ghost touch). The film inside the touch screen may be corroded due to moisture, which might adhere on the lens of the touch screen. This corrosion may cause the malfunction of the touch screen. This warranty extension program applies only to the repair of the center display with this concern. |
| SA-036-19 | 2019-08-22. Service bulletin. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: SENSING SYSTEM: CAMERA; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit DTC U2120:00 and/or U2500:82 stored in memory and the i-ACTIVSENSE warning light (amber) ON when turning ON the ignition after any electronic control unit (ECU) is reprogramed or configured using MDARS. NOTE: ECU stands for general units (cameras and modules), all of which can be reprogrammed. This is caused by a software malfunction of the forward sensing camera (FSC). To correct this issue, the FSC software will be modified. |
| SA-035-19 | 2019-08-22. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain about instrument cluster warning message "Auto Light System Malfunction.Turn On/Off Lights Manually". DTC B10AD:09 (Humidity sensor/solar radiation sensor/auto light sensor/rain sensor malfunction) may be stored and the exterior light warning indicator light may be ON. This can sometimes be duplicated after the vehicle is parked under the hot sun for a period of time. If the rain sensor detects temperature higher than the operation range, the auto light system temporarily stops and the exterior light warning indicator light turns ON. The auto light system starts to operate normally after the interior temperature drops. |
| SA-034-19 | 2019-08-22. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Drive Safely" or "Safety and Driver Support Systems Temporarily Disabled" warning messages, DTC B14F9:00 stored in memory. DTC B14F0:76 [VCM]: Forward sensing camera (FSC) deviation (i‐ACTIVSENSE warning light (amber)). This is caused by the learning value of the forward sensing camera (FSC) aiming being initialized after BCM replacement due to a software malfunction of the FSC. To correct this concern, the FSC software will be modified to not initialize the value of the FSC aiming after BCM replacement. |
| 09-028-19-3614 | 2019-08-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The speed limit is announced when the vehicle is unlocked and a door is opened (waking up the CMU) without touching the start button. This concern occurs on the vehicles located in Canada and Mexico including those driven to and from the U.S. It is caused by improper CMU software and the unnecessary speed limit announcement function left activated at the factory. To correct the concern, the CMU software has been modified and the speed limit announcement function has been removed. |
