| SA-019-24 | 2024-04-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; POWER TRAIN. Some customers may experience a vehicle no start (no "Ready-ON") due to the 12V battery discharged or the High Voltage (HV) battery discharged. This may be caused by: Ignition left ON when exiting the vehicle (exiting the vehicle during "Ready-On"). Door/liftgate opened multiple times without ignition "Ready-ON" or driving vehicle. Installation of aftermarket electronic devices. To minimize THE battery drain concern, ensure that the vehicle shift selector is in Park when exiting and verify the ignition is turned OFF when exiting. NOTE: If multiple door/liftgate opening without "Ready-ON', drive vehicle to charge 12V battery. |
| SA-018-24 | 2024-04-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; PARKING BRAKE; WHEELS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. The 7G large platform utilizes a new 8-speed automatic transmission. Due to changes in the parking lock mechanism, which is now hydraulically operated, the neutral range in the transmission can only be achieved if the engine is running (or “Ready-On” for PHEV). With this design, there is no provision to manually engage neutral. This can cause challenges to dealers, customers, or towing providers when a vehicle cannot start and can't move, usually due to a discharged (dead) battery. In the event that a vehicle cannot be started or achieve “ready-on”, wheel dollies must be used to allow the vehicle to be rolled and moved. NOTE: The following procedure is for moving vehicle around the service shop and not for towing purposes. Please reference the owner's manual for towing instructions. |
| PF-24-04 | 2024-04-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. CX-90 PHEV Battery and Order Requests - To confirm parts availability and ETA request details for the EV Battery part numbers listed below, please contact the Dealer Assistance Group. |
| 09-018-24 | 2024-04-02. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Some customers may complain that the driver’s side outer mirror glass vibrates when driving at high speeds at approximately 60 mph (100 km/hour ) or more on bumpy roads such as road joints, coarse-grained paved roads or rough roads. This is caused by insufficient hardness of the adhesive tape between the outer mirror glass holder and the mirror glass. To eliminate this concern, the material of the adhesive tape between the outer mirror glass holder and the mirror glass has been improved and the tape location has been modified. |
| 09-015-24 | 2024-04-02. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS. This is caused by the quarter window glass molding deforming due to harmful external conditions such as extreme heat or excessive force applied, and the double-sided tape fixing the molding’s back side detaches. To eliminate this concern, the double-sided tape has been widened to enhance attachment. |
| 07-001-24a | 2024-04-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit a loud vibration noise when the electric A/C compressor is operating. Due to processing variation of the counter-balance bushing (a weight to balance eccentric rotation) installed in the electric compressor, some of the bushing strongly interferes with the shaft, resulting in the humming noise. To eliminate this concern, the machining accuracy of the counter-balance bushing has been improved. |
| 02-002-24a | 2024-04-02. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Some vehicles may exhibit a creaking or squeaking noise from the lower control arm at the front suspension when traveling over a bump while turning at low-speed. A stick-slip phenomenon may occur between the stopper rubber (2) and the bracket (3) in the front lower arm (rear) (1). |

DESCRIPTION This information will give you the necessary knowledge to respond to customers concerns of Smart Brake Support (SBS) unintended braking. By educating the customer on the system operation, it should reduce their anxiety or distrust of the vehicle. IMPORTANT: Humans recognize an object with their eyes and decide whether or not to apply the brakes using their brain. The vehicle recognizes objects using the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) and Front Radar sensor (FR), to determine brake application. Therefore, drivers may feel that the operation does not match the human feeling. |
| 09-001-24a | 2024-03-06. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. Some customers may experience a “Telematics Malfunction” message in the instrument cluster with DTC U3000:04-TCU (Telematics communication unit internal malfunction) stored in memory. | SA-010-24 | 2024-03-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL:THROTTLE. A kick-down switch has been adopted to determine when the customer has fully depressed the throttle pedal for maximum acceleration. A load can be felt while the accelerator pedal is being depressed. When the accelerator pedal is depressed further, the kick-down switch is activated and a click is felt. The driver can control the kick-down by knowing the amount of accelerator depression. An electrical signal is not transmitted by the kick-down switch turning on/off. |
| 09-013-24 | 2024-03-05. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY. Some customers may complain that the fuel level gauge needs a long time to show the correct level after refueling. This may be caused by improper control software of the instrument cluster. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the instrument cluster has been modified. |
| 09-012-24 | 2024-03-05. Service bulletin. LATCHES/LOCKS/LINKAGES; STRUCTURE:BODY:HATCHBACK/LIFTGATE. Some customers may complain about clicking noise coming from the liftgate latch-and-lock actuator (lock actuator) when driving on bumpy roads. This is caused by stick-slip friction between the lock actuator and the lock striker due to wear debris originating from the friction between them. To eliminate this concern, the lock striker coating has been changed to prevent coating wear. |
