Service bulletins for the 2015 Mazda CX-5
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Customers concern can be resolved by sanding off paint at ground point (3) where attachment bolt (4) is seated. After installing the bolt (4), apply touch-up paint to the exposed base material area of the front fender stay. |
| 09-026-19-3613 | 2019-08-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE; VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD. Some vehicles may exhibit the cushion tape (1) attached to the front end of dashboard coming off and showing at the base of the windshield. This is caused by the cushion tape peeling off from the end(s) due to interference with the windshield and vehicle vibration (CX-5/Mazda6) or from the gap between the dashboard and the cushion tape because there there is no rib (1) at the dashboard ends (Mazda3). To prevent the tape from peeling off, both ends of the cushion tape are now folded over to the back side of the dashboard (CX-5/Mazda6) or stapled (Mazda3). |
| 09-043-18-3441 | 2019-02-19. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY. Some vehicles may exhibit the cushion tape (1) attached to the front end of dashboard coming off and showing at the base of the windshield. This is caused by the cushion tape peeling off from the end(s) due to interference with the windshield and vehicle vibration. To prevent the tape from peeling off, both ends of the cushion tape are now folded over to the back side of the dashboard or stapled depending on the model. |
| 09-038-18-3527 | 2018-11-13. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR. Some vehicles may experience a rattle noise from the front door glass when driving with the window open approx. 1/2 to 4 inches (1 - 10 cm). The rattle noise may be caused by insufficient holding force of the glass run channel. To increase the holding force, the shape of glass run channel has been changed and non-woven pads have been attached to the glass run channel. |
| 09-036-18-3526 | 2018-10-09. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:12V/24V/48V BATTERY; ENGINE; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR; VISIBILITY:POWER WINDOW DEVICES AND CONTROLS. Some vehicles may experience one or more of the following symptoms in connection with a malfunction related to the C-15 connector. The driver side power window does not operate. The door does not open when using the advanced keyless system. The warning lamp stays ON even after the ignition switch is turned OFF. DTC B10E7:17 (START STOP UNIT, IG1 Relay Circuit Malfunction) and DTCs related to communication errors may be stored in PCM memory. Engine no start due to battery discharge. The symptoms listed above may be caused by corrosion of the C-15 connector terminals due to water intrusion through the front door. In low ambient temperatures, the door harness hardens. If the door is fully opened, it may create a gap between the door and the door harness grommet, which may allow water to enter through the gap. |
| MT-007-18 | 2018-08-27. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES; ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. ENGINE NO START AND / OR REAR VIEW MONITOR DISPLAY IS BLURRY DUE TO AFTERMARKET ELECTRICAL DEVICE: Some customers may complain about the following: Engine no start. A blurry rear view monitor display. This may be caused by an aftermarket accessory device. Some aftermarket electrical devices (e.g., an accessory cell phone charger) may create excessive electrical noise. The noise may interrupt some of the vehicle electrical systems. Below are a few examples of an aftermarket cell phone charger that is interrupting the vehicle electrical systems. |
| 07-003-18-3462 | 2018-05-14. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:DEFROSTER/DEFOGGER/HVAC SYSTEM. Some customers may complain about one or both of the following symptoms: When selecting the "Defroster Vents" position (2) with the Mode Selector Dial (1), the dial does not stay in the "Defroster Vents" position and returns to the "Defroster/Floor Vents" position (3). When rotating the Mode Selector Dial (1) to the "Defroster Vents" position (2), it may be difficult to tell if the Mode Selector Dial is firmly in the "Defroster Vents" position. This concern may be due to a production variation. Some of the mode control wires (1) may be too long to transmit movement from the mode selector dial to the link (2). The length of the mode control wire has been shortened to eliminate this concern. |
| 09-041-17-3390 | 2017-11-14. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES. Some vehicles may exhibit a white stain (A) running down the front door(s), which originates from under the outer door mirror. This is caused when water (containing white corrosion) is generated inside the door mirror base (B), then drains down the door panel causing a poor appearance concern. The door mirror base was originally designed to drain water to the outside of the door. The shape of the door mirror base gasket has been modified to drain water to the inside of the door. Replacing the gasket should eliminate this concern. |
| SA-058-17 | 2017-08-10. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD. CAUTION: DO NOT attempt any repair of the windshield damaged by stone chipping/cracks at the area in front of the Forward Sensing Camera (FSC) and Laser Sensor. Replace the windshield with a new one instead. |
| 09-032-15-3061 | 2017-06-07. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:REARVIEW MIRRORS/DEVICES:EXTERIOR; STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR. SOME VEHICLES MAY EXHIBIT A VIBRATION FROM THE DRIVER-SIDE POWER DOOR MIRROR GLASS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN AT HIGH SPEEDS. THIS CONCERN MAY BE DUE TO A LACK OF RIGIDITY OF THE MIRROR BASE SO THE MIRROR VIBRATES WHEN IT RECEIVES VEHICLE VIBRATION OR WIND PRESSURE. AN ADDITIONAL REINFORCEMENT HAS BEEN INSTALLED INSIDE THE DOOR TO INCREASE THE DOOR PANEL STRENGTH WHERE THE DOOR MIRROR IS MOUNTED. ALSO, THE DOOR MIRROR SHAPE HAS BEEN CHANGED. BOTH OF THESE MODIFICATIONS HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED TO ELIMINATE MIRROR GLASS VIBRATION CONCERNS. |
