Service bulletin MT-007-18

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

A blurry rear view monitor display. This may be caused by an aftermarket accessory device. 09-041-17-33902017-11-14. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit a white stain (A) running down the front door(s), which originates from under the outer door mirror. This is caused when water (containing white corrosion) is generated inside the door mirror base (B), then drains down the door panel causing a poor appearance concern. The door mirror base was originally designed to drain water to the outside of the door. The shape of the door mirror base gasket has been modified to drain water to the inside of the door. Replacing the gasket should eliminate this concern.
