Service bulletins for the 2022 Infiniti QX60

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SOFTWARE UPDATE POP-UP NOTIFICATION SERVICE INFORMATION The infotainment system in the APPLIED VEHICLES has the ability to update its software through an Over-The-Air (OTA) link. As software updates become available for new features, and/or patches, the software update screen (pop-up) shown in Figure 1 will automatically be displayed. Much like cell phone and computer updates, this is a normal feature which allows the user to choose when an update is downloaded. • It is recommended that while in the retailer inventory and this pop-up appears, that “Yes” is selected to provide the latest software version to the client at delivery. When one of the following is selected: Yes: The pop-up is hidden and the download starts in the background. Later: The pop-up is hidden and displayed again in the next key cycle (after cold start). • To manually start the software update, select: Info > System Information > Software Update > Start Software Update

PC883 QX60 - Aud2022-06-08. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Audio Amplifier Reprogram Voluntary Service Campaign ***** Campaign Summary ***** INFINITI has reclassified the previously announced quality action (PC870) for new vehicle inventory as a Voluntary Service Campaign to inspect the audio amplifier and, if necessary, reprogram or replace the audio amplifier on 774 specific 2022 QX60 vehicles identified in Service Comm and DBS National Service History. Due to a software bug, the software may not block or turn off Controller Area Network (CAN) messages during the boot up sequence. This CAN message overload may cause the audio amplifier to go into a protective state. If this condition occurs, the audio amplifier will stop producing sound. ***** What Retailers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles are affected by this Voluntary Service Campaign using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaign I.D. PC883 • New vehicles in retailer inventory can also be identified through the attached VIN list or by using DBS (Sales-> Vehicle Inventory, and filter by Open Campaign). • Refer to IPSB 15-286 for additional information • Please continue to check newly arriving inventory for campaign applicability. 2. Retailers are requested to repair any affected vehicles in retailer new or pre-owned inventory to ensure client satisfaction. 3. Retailers should use ITB22-016 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 4. Once repaired, retailers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

TELEMATICS CONTROL UNIT RESET AFTER AUTOMATIC COLLISION NOTIFICATION SERVICE INFORMATION The Telematics Control Unit (TCU) has the ability to send an automatic collision notification when the vehicle is involved in an accident. Once an automatic collision notification is performed, the function becomes disabled and the TCU must be reset to re-enable the automatic collision notification function. Some models will store DTC B2E1B-97 (Automatic eCAll locked) as “CURRENT” when this function is disabled. This bulletin describes how to reset the TCU after an automatic collision notification has been performed. For models with B2E1B-97 (Automatic eCAll locked) set as “CURRENT”, complete the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 2, and then erase DTCs after confirming TCU condition is “UNLOCK”.
