Service bulletins for the 2016 Ford Mustang
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 46995 | 2018-05-29. Service bulletin. VISIBILITY:SUN/MOON ROOF ASSEMBLY. Some 2015-2017 Mustang Convertibles built on or before 1-Feb-2017 may exhibit wear marks or damage to the exterior surface of the convertible top in the area of the front outer edges. This may be due to contact between the convertible top and the tonneau covers that may be installed on the vehicle by the customer when the top is in the open position. If the tonneau covers have been installed on the vehicle, and the wear/damage is located in the area where the tonneau covers overlap the convertible top, replace the convertible top material. Refer to WSM, Section 501-18. Discard the original tonneau covers, and supply the customer with new tonneau covers, part numbers FR3Z-7631004-CB and FR3Z-7631005-CB. For claiming, use causal part 7631004 and applicable labor operations in section 12 of the service labor time standards (SLTS) manual. |

If you suspect a system has been modified, the following resources can be used to verify original equipment: Monroney Label (Window Sticker), Professional Technician Society (PTS) OASIS tab select SYNC or HVBOM. For Genuine Ford accessories use: PTS Workshop Tab select Dealer Installed Accessory or Accessory Installation. |
| SSM 47200 | 2018-05-21. Service bulletin. SEATS. Some 2015-2018 Mustang vehicles may exhibit a concern of no horizontal movement of the front power seats. This may be caused by a defective seat track motor or separation of the drive motor cable from the seat track. To clear this DTC, use the Ford Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) service tool or Ford J2534 Diagnostic Software, select - Toolbox - Body - Security - PATS Functions - Parameter Reset. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the procedure. This procedure will transfer the existing Key ID information between the modules without the need of having 2 programmed PATS keys present.
