Various 2021-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with the rear camera on demand feature may exhibit a Please Check Surroundings For Safety or Full View Not Available message when the rear camera button is pressed and the vehicle is not in reverse. Inform customers this condition is considered normal operation and does not affect vehicle durability because the full rear view camera image can only be shown when the vehicle is in reverse. No additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition.

SSM 515662023-05-04. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE. Some 2023 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit the trailer optimized routing feature, active trailer name keyboard, or trailer maintenance keyboard not available when an active trailer profile is utilized. This may be due to the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software. Replacement or reprogramming of the APIM may not resolve this condition. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via an over the air (OTA) software update expected in Q2 2023. Customers that have experienced this concern should verify automatic updates are enabled and that the vehicle has been run long enough to receive updates via OTA. Monitor OASIS for additional information.
SSM 512542023-01-05. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION:SOFTWARE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:ENGINE:CRANK/CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. Some 2020-2022 Escape/Corsair/F-53 Motorhome/F-59 Commercial Stripped Chassis, 2021-2023 F-650/F-750/E-Series, and 2021-2022 Bronco Sport vehicles may exhibit an intermittent no crank/no start condition and/or an intermittent blank instrument panel cluster (IPC)/SYNC touchscreen. This may be due to the software in the gateway module (GWM). To correct the condition, reprogram the GWM using the latest software level of the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool.
