Service bulletins for the 2020 Ford F-350
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 48777 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; EXTERIOR LIGHTING. Some 2020 F-Super Duty vehicles may exhibit a condition where the turn signals flash fast after removal of the factory pick up box and tail lamps for flatbed installation. To prevent the turn signals from flashing fast, the BCM will need to be configured using the FDRS scan tool. Start a vehicle session in FDRS using the vehicles VIN and go to the toolbox tab. The BCM will have an application labeled Turn Signal Lamp Configuration. Download and run this application to configure the turn signals. |
| SSM 48761 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2020 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.2L or 7.3L gas engine and a 10R140 transmission may exhibit an intermittent buzz noise coming from the transmission while the vehicle is in transport mode. This condition is most noticeable with the vehicle in PARK or NEUTRAL and at elevated idle speeds of 850 to 1250 revolutions per minute (RPM). This condition is a normal characteristic while in transportation mode and will be eliminated once the vehicle is placed into normal mode prior to customer delivery. Do not attempt to repair. |
| SSM 48757 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may experience a notification in the FordPass and/or LincolnWay apps that indicates their vehicle has entered "deep sleep mode". This mode is enabled due to the vehicle not being started for 14 consecutive days or battery voltage is at/or below 9.5 volts. Some 2020 models will also set a warning if the telematic control unit (TCU) has received an automatic over the air update. The purpose of deep sleep mode is to conserve battery voltage. When deep sleep mode is enabled, the TCU is powered down and all communication with the FordPass and/or LincolnWay apps are disabled. To wake the vehicle from deep sleep mode, manually start the vehicle. More deep sleep mode information can be found in the FordPass or LincolnWay apps under: More > Guides > click in search entry box > type "deep sleep" and click on "Ask". |

Engineering is working to implement a solution for this condition. Advise the customer that a solution through FDRS is expected to be available 27-Apr-2020. Dealers are asked to follow-up with their customers to schedule a service appointment once the solution becomes available. Monitor OASIS for updates. |
| SSM 48717 | 2020-05-04. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL. Some 2020 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with the Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) and Cross Traffic Alert (CTA) may require the removal of the factory equipped tail lamps to accommodate the use of aftermarket equipment. Once the tail lamps are removed, this may result in BLIS and CTA warning indicators illuminated in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). To clear these warning indicators, the BLIS and CTA systems will need to be disabled using the FDRS scan tool. Start a vehicle session in FDRS using the vehicles VIN and go to the toolbox tab. The BCM will have an application labeled Disable/Enable Blind Spot Information System. Download and run this application to enable or disable the BLIS And CTA systems. |
