Service bulletins for the 2013 Cadillac SRX
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| G-166827 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY:DOOR:HINGE AND ATTACHMENTS. 13125 - Customer Satisfaction Program - There may be an interference condition between the outside door handle and the door handle bracket assembly. This could cause the outside door handle to stick or bind in the open position when the door is opened from outside of the vehicle. If this occurs, the door may bounce back when attempting to close it. If the door does not latch, a warning chime will sound and a warning message in the instrument cluster will illuminate. Tapping on the outside door handle or closing the door with higher effort should free the door handle and allow it to latch. Dealers will inspect and modify the front and rear outside door handles. |
| G-166208 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. 13120B - Service Update (population added; expiration date extended). Reprogram the transmission control module (TCM). The torque converter clutch solenoid in the TECHM can stick due to debris in the transmission. When the vehicle is at the end of a coast-down, as the vehicle is coming to a stop, a stuck solenoid will fail to release the torque converter clutch. This keeps the engine directly connected to the driven wheels. As the vehicle stops, the engine speed will be pulled down below normal idle speed and the engine may stall. The vehicle can be immediately restarted and driven. The reprogramming will install a revised calibration to correct this condition. |
| G-165404 | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. 12262C - Service Update (revised service procedure). Reprogram the seat memory control module. The reprogramming of the seat memory control module will change how the auto memory recall feature recalls the stored memory settings from the RKE transmitters. |

| PIT5444C | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:IGNITION; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician about the text messaging feature on some newer General Motors infotainment systems. Pair the iPhone to the system then enter the Bluetooth settings menu, select the “i” icon next to the vehicle name in the device and enable show notifications. The text messaging feature will be available on the next ignition cycle. However with iPhones text messages cannot be responded to when using the infotainment system, they can only be received. For android devices pair the phone to the system during the pairing process the phone will ask you to allow the vehicle to access the device contacts. A second question will pop up on the device asking to allow the vehicle to access the message access profile. Both have to be allowed for the text messaging feature to work. |
| PIP5507B | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE:DELIVERY:FUEL PUMP. This Preliminary information communicatesIn ambient temperatures 100F (37.7 C)degrees or higher, DTCs P2635 and/or P018B may set.The vehicle may also exhibit a hesitation or stalling condition.Excessively Hot and sustained ambient temperatures over 100F (37.7 C) degrees Mainly in TX, AZ, UT, NV, CA, NM (could be any state) causingVapor buildup in fuel feed line.Customers can be advised to utilize fuels with octane levels greater than 91, Refrain from extended idleing periods if possible, park vehicles in covered garage.Replacing the fuel pump will not repare this concern. |
| PIC5494H | 2017-08-15. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: INSTRUMENT CLUSTER/PANEL. This Preliminary Information communication provides information to the technician when the customer comments that their digital vehicle speed display is showing a different speed than the analog vehicle speed display. There may be up to 2 miles per hour difference between the digital and analog vehicle speed displays. This is a normal condition due to the calculation tolerances being different for the two driver viewing angles for the analog speedometer; it may also appear to increase the difference between both displays. No part replacement is required as this is a normal operating characteristic of the vehicle. For CTS vehicles built between April and June of 2011 or the 2013 ATS, SRX, XTS built before August 29 2012 may have a 3 mile per hour or more variation. The technician is to replace the instrument panel cluster for this concern. |
