The discontinuation of 3G cellular communication for Combox, TCB 3G and ATM 3G (Telematics ControlModule) can no longer be supported by the cellular network provider starting February 2022. The decision to phase out 3G network technology was made at the discretion of the respective cellular carriers and lies beyond the control of BMW. Due to the phase-out, BMW Assist and ConnectedDrive services will no longer be supported after this date.

EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; EQUIPMENT; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. ?A/C COOLING INTERMITTENT REDUCTION OF AIR FLOW: Customer may complain of reduced air flow when the air conditioning system is operated for an extended time, usually longer than 30 minutes. The evaporator starts to freeze up.

Roads can change by up to 15% every year. To ensure the best navigation experience, we do everything in our power to create the best maps. Your reports help us to detect changes in your area and keep future versions of our maps as accurate as possible. Therefore, a road map error or missing data must be reported directly to the map supplier.
B6104192020-08-31. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT. VEHICLE DOES NOT START BATTERY TOTALLY DISCHARGED: The customer's vehicle does not start due to a totally discharged battery.
B6105202020-03-16. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. CCM DISPLAYED "INCREASED BATTERY DRAIN" CAUSED BY CONTROLLER. A yellow CCM (Check Control Message) ID 415 is displayed- "Increased battery drain! // Battery. Electrostatic discharge at standstill / start engine. Energy management" The results of the Energy Diagnosis test plan identifies the Controller as the root cause of the CCM. The Controller delays the vehicle going to sleep by up to 6 minutes. In some cases this will cause the CCM 415 to be displayed when starting the vehicle. Replacing the Controller in this case will not correct this situation.

MC627139292018-12-10. Service bulletin. SEATS; SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:SEAT HEATER/COOLER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Seat heating inadequate. The electrical system incorporates functions which serve to protect the battery and may be interpreted as a failure of the seat heating if any of them are active.

INFORMATION Documents have been developed showing the known correct statuses for all hall sensors and micro switches used to operate the retractable hard top (RHT). This document is intended to act as a supplement to the diagnostic information available in ISTA. Comparing these statuses to the actual statuses of a vehicle with a functional problem may assist in narrowing down which sensor/switch is contributing to the functional problem. For E93, the status request may be found by connecting the car to ISTA and selecting: Control module functions/CTM Convertible top module/Diagnosis Requests ?Sensors/Switches For F33/F83, the statuses should be checked using the applicable test plan as instructed in attachment B54 09 07 F33 F83 RHT Status.pdf. Installers may alter the original positioning of the wiring harness cables when routing radio or accessory cable during the up-fitting, or during repairs to the R 1200 RT-P model (example: clutch replacement) resulting in the following symptom: The emergency lights on the top box mounted to the rear of the motorcycle may stay on with the emergency light switch in the off position. Investigation has discovered the cause to be a short in the main wiring harness at the rear of the motorcycle. The location is under the radio box floor plate, by the siren amp mounting plate. The short is caused by the auxiliary battery?s main positive cable and the rear emergency light wiring rubbing and chafing on the ?T? corners of the siren amplifier mounting plate harness securing tab.

Fault codes stored in vehicles being serviced are not being diagnosed, leading to repeat repair visits (source- Analysis of FASTA data and repeat repair visit reports). INFORMATION Where diagnosis (vehicle or short test) with ISTA has already started, it is important to diagnose the fault code(s) listed below (when they are stored in the vehicle) to find their root cause during the current workshop visit. This will help lead to a reduction in workshop repeat repair visits and higher customer satisfaction.

One or more of the following conditions are present: * CCM ""Battery. Discharge in standstill."", or similar, is displayed. * Comfort Access and contactless tailgate opening are not working. * Vehicle can still be unlocked with radio remote control (ID transmitter). Fault conditions are cleared upon engine restart. FEM (Front Electronics Module) software error Unauthorized (radio remote control out of range) access to vehicle has been attempted at least seven times with Comfort Access or Smart Opener (contactless tailgate opening) when the vehicle was locked. As a result of these unauthorized access attempts, the following conditions were set: * CCM ""Battery. Discharge in standstill."", or similar, is displayed * Terminal 30F (switched battery terminal when fault occurs) was deactivated, preventing Comfort Access and contactless tailgate opening."
