Service bulletin 15-001-24
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

NHTSA's summary
Some vehicles may exhibit one or both of following, making the customer uncomfortable with the operation; 1. Sometimes the steering assist feeling by the Emergency Lane Keeping may be stronger than expected while driving at 37 mph 60 km/h) (or faster. 2.The Smart Brake Support may operate unexpectedly when parking in reverse under certain conditions, mainly while driving at 1.2 mph ( 2 km/h) to 9.3 mph (15 km/h) on flat ground in reverse and vehicle(s) etc. are present around the parking space. 3. While driving on a curved road condition with the MRCC activated, a vehicle in the right or left lane may be detected as an ahead vehicle and the MRCC unexpectedly reduces vehicle speed. This is caused by: 1. There was some room to refine the engineering for a better steering feel. 2.Too sensitive detection of vehicles or objects while in reverse and backing up. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the Vehicle Control Module (VCM) has been modified.

| SA-051-25 | 2025-12-05. Service bulletin. Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) Diagnostic Guidelines Diagnostic Guidelines When diagnosing NVH concerns, it is essential to first classify the issue into one of three primary categories: Noise, Vibration, or Harshness. Many customer complaints may involve overlapping symptoms, such as both noise and vibration, so identifying the dominant characteristic is critical. Once the primary symptom is determined, follow the appropriate diagnostic path. For example, if a concern includes both noise and vibration but is related to vehicle speed, the vibration diagnostic path should be followed. When considering component replacement during the diagnostic process, it is best practice to start with the lowest cost or most accessible part unless diagnostic evidence clearly identifies a more expensive or complex component as the root cause. This approach helps minimize repair costs and avoids unnecessary part replacements. For example, a growling or bearing whine noise may be mistakenly attributed to internal components in the differential, transfer unit, or transmission, when the actual source is a wheel bearing. Misdiagnosis like this can lead to unnecessary repairs, added time and cost. To help prevent this, always follow the guidelines in the repair procedure. |

| SA-027-25 | 2025-06-05. Service bulletin. The CX-70 and CX-90 have new and revised features that are different from previous models and may be difficult to understand. This Service Alert provides valuable information to support potential dealer and customer concerns. |
| SA-005-25 | 2025-02-05. Service bulletin. Before judging a steering wheel as having premature wear or a defect, first clean the steering wheel as explained in the repair information. Some vehicles may have steering wheel stains caused by chemicals such as hand lotions. |

| SSPD6 FC | 2024-08-06. Service campaign. SSPD6 - SPECIAL SERVICE PROGRAM - VEHICLE CONTROL MODULE (VCM) PROGRAMMING - 2024 CX-90 SSPD6 - 2024 CX-90 - Vehicle Control Module (VCM) Reprogramming: This campaign will resolve three different concerns. Unintentional warning or braking when backing up. When backing up the vehicle in a parking lot or similar area, the View Monitor Camera (VMC) may detect certain physical obstacles lower to the ground such as, the tires of an adjacent vehicle, parking lines, plants, etc. even though there are no obstacles behind the vehicle. Under this condition, the Smart Brake Support (SBS) system may determine that there is a possibility of a collision, notifying with a visual (screen display) and audible (warning sound), and the brakes possibly being applied in certain cases. Driver recognition result is not displayed (on equipped vehicles) The Driver Personalization system may not recognize the driver’s face to change the seat position settings that have been programmed. In this case the vehicle interprets the driver as a “guest” (non-personalized). The vehicle driver must be in the driver’s seat within 15 seconds of unlocking the vehicle to initiate the Driver Recognition function. Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) may reduce speed to match adjacent lane vehicle While driving on a curved road condition with the Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) activated, a vehicle in the right or left lane may be detected as a vehicle in front of the CX-90 and the MRCC will unexpectedly reduce vehicle speed to match the detected vehicle. The repair will be reprogramming the VCM with modified software via M-MDS, using MDARS. There are 28,404 vehicles in the campaign in the U.S. and U.S. Territories. |
| 15-001-24a | 2024-08-02. Service bulletin. Update software release for emergency lane keeping and/or smart brake support operation. This TSB has been superseded by SSPD6. |
| 15-003-24 | 2024-07-04. Service bulletin. Some customers may experience that, after overtaking a truck and moving in front of the truck with turn signal on, the steering assist pushes the vehicle back to the overtaking lane even without BSM warning light turning on in the outer mirror. This may be caused by an improper detection by the side radar sensors occurring in a specific driving environment. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the side radar sensors has been modified. |
