These are the manufacturer's totals for the whole campaign at the end of 2026 quarter 2, as filed with NHTSA. They do not say whether one vehicle has been remedied: check the VIN with the official lookups. The reports are from data as of 2026-10-19.

What is wrong

Mazda North American Operations (Mazda) is recalling certain 2024 CX-90 vehicles. Some steering and suspension bolts may be missing or improperly tightened, which can cause the steering intermediate shaft, the front anti-lock brake system wheel speed sensor harnesses, or the front upper control arms to detach, resulting in a loss of vehicle control.

What can happen

A loss of vehicle control increases the risk of a crash.

The remedy

Dealers will inspect and tighten or replace the steering and suspension bolts, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 14, 2023. Owners may contact Mazda customer service at 1-800-222-5500 Option 6. Mazda's number for this recall is 5923F.

Notes

Owners may also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Vehicle Safety Hotline at 1-888-327-4236 (TTY 1-800-424-9153), or go to www.nhtsa.gov.

02-002-262026-06-02. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may exhibit a creaking or squeaking noise from the lower control arm at the front suspension when traveling over a bump while turning at low-speed. A stick-slip phenomenon may occur between the stopper rubber (2) and the bracket (3) in the front lower arm (rear) (1). To eliminate this concern: Grease has been applied to the stopper rubber. Dust covers have been installed to the lower arm. The mounting hole size of the lower arm bracket has been modified.
02-001-262026-05-03. Service bulletin. Some customers may complain that an abnormal noise is heard from the front suspension when driving on rough road surfaces or when passing over speed bumps. This is caused by insufficient heat resistance of the bushing material under specific operating conditions, resulting in cracking and fluid leakage in the front lower arm bushing. To eliminate this concern: The bushing material has been changed to a heat-resistant material. The bushing shape has been modified to reduce deformation. The damping characteristics of the front lower arm bushing have been modified. REPAIR PROCEDURE If noise is detected, replace the front lower arm (rear side) according to the instructions in MGSS.
SA-057-252026-01-03. Service bulletin. A technician may report that DTC U0415:68 - VCM (Vehicle Control Module) cannot be cleared after replacing the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) module.
SA-051-252025-12-05. Service bulletin. Noise, Vibration, and Harshness (NVH) Diagnostic Guidelines Diagnostic Guidelines When diagnosing NVH concerns, it is essential to first classify the issue into one of three primary categories: Noise, Vibration, or Harshness. Many customer complaints may involve overlapping symptoms, such as both noise and vibration, so identifying the dominant characteristic is critical. Once the primary symptom is determined, follow the appropriate diagnostic path. For example, if a concern includes both noise and vibration but is related to vehicle speed, the vibration diagnostic path should be followed. When considering component replacement during the diagnostic process, it is best practice to start with the lowest cost or most accessible part unless diagnostic evidence clearly identifies a more expensive or complex component as the root cause. This approach helps minimize repair costs and avoids unnecessary part replacements. For example, a growling or bearing whine noise may be mistakenly attributed to internal components in the differential, transfer unit, or transmission, when the actual source is a wheel bearing. Misdiagnosis like this can lead to unnecessary repairs, added time and cost. To help prevent this, always follow the guidelines in the repair procedure.
02-002-25a2025-10-03. Service bulletin. Some vehicles may experience a knocking noise from the front suspension when driving on a rough road or traveling over bumps. This noise is caused by a gap between the front strut bump stopper and the mounting rubber that is pushed up when roads are bumpy. To eliminate this concern, the outer diameter of the bump stopper has been modified to prevent the knocking sound during driving on a rough road or traveling over bumps.
