Rivian is launching a technical service bulletin for some model year 2022-2024 R1 vehicles that may have ultrasonic sensors detached from the front fascia mounting area. After detachment, the ultrasonic sensor may become dislodged and hang inside the front fascia, causing customer notifications for sensor issues and potential sensor damage. Upon ultrasonic sensor detachment, Rivian will perform an ultrasonic sensor repair to secure the sensor to the front fascia.

These vehicles may have been built with an improperly formatted solid state drive (SSD) for storing camera recordings. This improper formatting prevents video recording of driving incidents and Motion Cam, which is part of the vehicle's Gear Guard system. Rivian will properly format the SSD. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.

Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022 and 2023 R1S and R1T vehicles that may have been built with a suspect auxiliary air compressor control panel. Due to a supplier quality issue, the display may show inaccurate pressure readings of approximately +/- 10%. If the compressor is used to fill the tires, slightly inaccurate pressure readings may result in slightly overinflated or slightly underinflated tires but will not affect the performance of the vehicle. Tire pressures will be accurately measured by the TPMS and shown in the driver display. Rivian will replace the auxiliary air compressor control panel with an upgraded component. RCA-78-23-005-12023-09-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2023 R1T and R1S vehicles that may have been built with an improperly routed cowl harness. If this harness is improperly routed, there is a potential for this harness to make contact with the windshield wiper mechanism during wiper use. If the harness contacts the windshield wiper mechanism and this condition persists over time, the vehicle may experience a rub-through of the wires in the harness. This potential rub-through condition may result in effects ranging from no function loss (if a redundant circuit is damaged) to disabled restraint, crash detection or other performance systems/modes. If there is a function loss, a fault indicator light will illuminate on the driver display alerting the driver to have service performed on their vehicle and/or the vehicle will enter into a reduced performance safe-state mode and a "Limited Performance Mode" indicator light will illuminate on the driver display. Rivian will inspect the harness and reroute, repair, or replace it if necessary to correct the condition. Rivian is initiating a customer satisfaction campaign for some model year 2022-2023 R1S and R1T vehicles that may have been built with an onboard charger that cannot charge on alternating current (AC). The part supplier shipped onboard chargers that were built with a faulty component. Though AC charging may be disabled in these vehicles, direct current (DC) fast charging is still functional. Rivian will replace the onboard charger. Rivian is launching this campaign for customer satisfaction and to ensure the quality of Rivian vehicles.
