On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) Electronic Control Unit (ECU) Voluntary Emission Recall Campaign ***** Campaign Summary ***** Nissan is conducting a Voluntary Emissions Recall Campaign on 27,085 certain MY2016-17 Titan Diesel vehicles identified in Service Comm to inspect and, if necessary, reprogram the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) with countermeasure software. Nissan has determined that the subject vehicles were manufactured with an On-Board Diagnostic (OBD) calibration that may not allow the exhaust gas sensor monitors to run as intended. If an affected vehicle is not repaired, the exhaust gas sensor monitors may not run as frequently as required by regulation to determine if the sensor is performing as intended. This issue has no effect on vehicle safety, fuel economy, drivability, or performance. ***** What Dealers Should Do**** 1. Verify campaign applicability using Service Comm or DBS National Service History – Open Campaign I.D. PC731. 2. Dealers should use NTB20-030 to correct any vehicles subject to this campaign. 3. Once repaired, dealers should submit the claim, using the claims coding provided, and release the vehicle.

IF YOU CONFIRM One or more of the following is occurring: - The navigation unit intermittently reboots: - At random or while listening to SXM or on a Bluetooth hands-free phone call. - Loud booming noise from speakers while on a Bluetooth hands-free call. - Navigation unit screen illumination does not change at night as designed. - AM/FM signal strength issues. - A status message ?Voice Recognition is initializing, please wait? is displayed when pressing the voice recognition button 2-3 minutes after the ignition is first turned ON. NOTE: If the message is displayed within the first 2-3 minutes this is normal. The voice recognition is loading phonebook contacts into its system. AND - The Software version has been confirmed as ?needs update? (refer to page 4). ACTION - Perform the SERVICE PROCEDURE starting on page 3 and reprogram the Navigation system with USB memory stick shown below.

Open Campaigns. These vehicles are either currently in dealer inventory or assigned and in transit to the dealer. The software update will prevent one or more of the following concerns: - Transmission shift shock when accelerating enough to create a 7 3 downshift - Engine RPM fluctuation while driving at a steady speed - Lack of power under light acceleration at low speeds (may be described as hesitation; feeling like the transmission is in too high of a gear) ***** What Dealers Should Do ***** 1. Verify if vehicles currently in dealer inventory are affected by using Service Comm or National Service History ? Open Campaign I.D.
