Service bulletin NTB15-049r
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SOFTWARE UPDATE POP-UP NOTIFICATION SERVICE INFORMATION The infotainment system of the applied vehicle has the ability to update its software through an over-the-air (OTA) link. Much like cell phone and computer updates, this is a normal feature which allows the user to choose when an update is downloaded. • It is recommended that while in dealer inventory and this pop-up appears, that “ Yes” is selected to provide the latest software version to the customer at delivery. When one of the following is selected: Yes…..The pop-up is hidden and the download starts in the background. Later…The pop-up is hidden and displayed again in the next key cycle (after cold start). |
