Service bulletins for the 2019 Mazda Mazda3

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

827 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

SA-016-24b2024-09-04. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some vehicles exhibit brake related concerns such as brake noise, brake judder or brake dragging. If you encounter a customer complaint for any one of these symptoms, refer to the following information to understand why symptoms may occur, and to better assist the customer in resolving their specific brake concern.
SA-006-24b2024-09-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Customers having MAZDA CONNECT concerns should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure.
04-001-24a2024-09-04. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Symptom 1: Some customers may complain about hearing a grinding noise and/or vibration occur when applying the brake. This is due to rust on the rear brake disc plate. The brake pad has insufficient disc-rust prevention performance, resulting in the disc plate rusting. To eliminate this concern, the pad material has been improved to prevent rust on the disc surface. Symptom 2: Some vehicles may exhibit a squeal noise from the rear brakes when braking lightly while driving at a slow speed. The squeal noise is caused by the disc pad surface fluctuating.
01-005-24b2024-09-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Some customers may experience a check engine light ON with DTC P0126:00 (Thermostat stuck open) and one or more of the following symptoms: Engine takes longer to warm up. Engine temperature gauge fluctuates. Low coolant temperature indicator (blue) light stays on longer or turns on while driving. Poor heater performance, especially at idle.
SA-050-242024-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain that their liftgate does not open. This can mean a range of things, from the liftgate not unlatching to the power liftgate (PLG) not opening automatically. If you confirm that the customer's concern is that the liftgate does not unlatch correctly, follow the repair information below.
02-003-242024-09-04. Service bulletin. SUSPENSION. Some customers may experience a rattle noise coming from the front suspension while driving the vehicle, with no other driveability concerns. The rattle noise may be caused by a decrease in tightening torque of the two (2) front lower control arm bolts (B) shown in the image below.
09-042-242024-09-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain that the rear console lid does not slide smoothly. This may be caused by improperly positioned felt pads attached to the rear console lid lock, which may have moved out of position after repetitive use. The exposed adhesive residue may stick to the rail and disrupt smooth sliding operation.
SSPC5 MRTa2024-08-05. Service campaign. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. SSPC5 - SPECIAL SERVICE PROGRAM - 2019-2021 MAZDA3 AND 2020-2021 CX-30 - CONTROL UNITS REPROGRAMMING Concern 1: Mazda3 and CX-30 – Battery concern On the subject vehicles, the CCU (climate control unit) and BCM (body control module) may not go into sleep mode even after the ignition is switched OFF or may take time to go into sleep mode. An electric current may continue to flow, allowing the battery to discharge and run out if the vehicle is left unused for a certain time. Causal factor: Inappropriate control program of CCU and BCM. Update to BCM will also update the IC, DOOR_ESU_D, DOOR_ESU_P, ESU modules. Concern 2: Mazda3 and CX-30 - MRCC concern: On the subject vehicles, the responsiveness when driving following a preceding car using the MRCC (Mazda Radar Cruise Control) system is designed to high response. Some drivers may feel the acceleration and deceleration jerk when using MRCC somewhat uncomfortable. The product update has been incorporated into mass-production Mazda3 and CX-30 vehicles, and acceleration and deceleration has been made more natural by changing controls to be closer to human expectation. The similar update will be made on the subject vehicles produced prior to the product update under this SSP. * MRCC: Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) uses a millimeter wave radar to judge the relative speed and distance to the car ahead and automatically controls vehicle speed. Working within a set speed range, MRCC automatically adjusts and maintains a safe following distance from the car in front. Concern 3: CX-30 - Theft-Deterrent System concern On the subject vehicles, the theft-deterrent system may not recognize correctly the open/close state of power liftgate, which may allow the theft-deterrent system to activate wrongly when the liftgate is opened by pressing the power liftgate switch. Causal factor: Inappropriate control program of BCM and LFU. Update to BCM will also update the IC, DOOR_ESU_D, DOOR_ESU_P, ESU modules.
