Service bulletins for the 2019 Mazda Mazda3
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| MT-002-19 | 2019-10-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:MANIFOLD/HEADER/MUFFLER/TAIL PIPE. If an engine assembly is replaced after a catastrophic internal mechanical failure, clean the intake manifold internally before installing a replacement engine assembly. If the intake manifold is not cleaned properly, the replacement engine may fail prematurely. Metallic debris from the old engine (with catastrophic internal mechanical failure) may rest inside the intake manifold. When the new engine assembly is installed, debris in the intake manifold will be ingested into the new engine and cause internal damage. |

| SA-041-19 | 2019-09-23. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. If a customer comes in with the following concerns, contact Hotline for assistance. OIL PRESSURE WARNING light and/or the CHECK ENGINE light ON, DTC P055F and/or P0524 stored, No drivability concern or engine mechanical noise, Outside the VIN range in TSB 01-020/18. |
| SA-028-19 | 2019-08-22. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; POWER TRAIN. Some customers may complain about a shift shock at 40-60 mph and/or an engine RPM increase when setting the MRCC with no DTCs are stored. This may be caused by improper PCM software. |
| SA-023-19 | 2019-07-02. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. DO NOT use MDARS for CBCM configuration as it will cause other problems like ENGINE NO START. There is an error in MDARS program. This SA will be updated when there is more information. |
| SA-015-19a | 2019-05-30. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE. If you receive a customer concern with the check engine light coming on and DTC P3400 (cylinder deactivation system malfunction) stored, perform the inspection in the Repair Procedure. |
| SA-015-19 | 2019-04-25. Service bulletin. ENGINE. If you receive a customer concern with the check engine light coming on and DTC P3400 (cylinder deactivation system malfunction) stored, perform the inspection in the Repair Procedure. |
| 00-003-19-3583 | 2019-03-21. Service bulletin. FUEL SYSTEM, DIESEL:STORAGE:TANK ASSEMBLY; FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT. In support of the new MRT distribution, Mazda will ship to dealers a new Dual Purpose Diagnostic Leak Detector beginning March, 2019. Training videos will be posted to MGSS shortly and Workshop Manual procedures will be revised gradually. |
| 01-005-19-3548 | 2019-02-19. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some vehicles may exhibit the check engine light on with DTC P0456 stored in the PCM memory. P0456: EVAP system leak detected (very small leak). The concern is most likely the result of the customer not getting the fuel cap completely closed after fueling the vehicle. This causes a small fuel vapor leak and turns DTC P0456 on. |
| 01-004-19-3558 | 2019-02-19. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. On some vehicles, a sulfur smell or 'rotten egg' odor may be noticed coming from the exhaust system. The odor is usually noticed after a cold start, fast idle, extended periods of idling and full throttle acceleration. Sulfur smell is not an indication of an engine concern and will not cause reduced driveability or durability of the engine or any of its emission components. The sulfur smell or 'rotten egg' odor is caused by high amounts of sulfur in the gasoline being used in the vehicle. Sulfur is normally eliminated during the refining process, but the EPA regulation of sulfur in gasoline differs from state to state. Vehicles using fuel containing high amounts of sulfur will most likely emit sulfur smell from the exhaust system. When high sulfur fuel is burned, there is a chemical reaction in the catalytic converter causing the sulfur tooxidize. As the vehicle is driven, the oxidizing reaction odor in the converter will decrease with mileage and age. |
| 01-003-19-3557 | 2019-02-19. Service bulletin. ENGINE. Some vehicles may experience the CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON with DTC P2610 and P2507 stored inmemory after engine start and room fuse 15A (A) removed. P2610:00: Instrument cluster internal engine off timer performance problem P2507:00: PCM battery voltage low input As a past malfunction, the customer will not notice it (no warning light illuminated), but the DTC may be found during a vehicle service. P2507 in this situation is only applicable on 2016 and later models. This is caused by the engine being started 3 or more times after a short duration of engine off (less than 15 seconds) with the room fused removed. NOTE: The odometer will display "F0-002" during transport mode (room fuse 15A removed). Transport mode is canceled when room fuse 15A is installed or the vehicle odometer is more than 12.4mi (20km). Vehicles in dealer inventory with this concern should be repaired using the following repair procedure. |
