Service bulletins for the 2025 Mazda CX-90
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| 09-018-26 | 2026-06-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. This bulletin supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red. 09-031/25 08/05/25 DESCRIPTION While driving on gravel or dusty roads, dust accumulates at the lower inner edge of the door garnish. When the rear door is opened, the dust may be blown up and enter the cabin, adhering to the seats and the floor. This is caused by a large gap at the lower part of the boundary between the rear door and the front door, and air containing dust and/or sand is sucked up into the gap, accumulating at the lower edge of the rear door garnish while driving. To eliminate this concern, a mass production change is under study. NOTE: In environments where passengers frequently enter and exit the vehicle under dusty conditions (e.g. dirt or gravel roads, off-road driving), a certain amount of dust will enter into the cabin, even in other types of vehicles. Therefore, this phenomenon is not limited to the causes described in this document. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. NOTE: This repair procedure is an interim countermeasure. After a mass production change is implemented, the repair procedure will be updated. Attach the protectors (urethane pads, deflectors and protectors) to both sides of the designated locations according to the following steps. |
| 09-017-26 | 2026-06-02. Service bulletin. SEATS. Some customers may complain that a rattling noise is heard from the second seat while driving under various vehicle speeds and road conditions. This is caused by the hinge cover of the second seat becoming deformed, resulting in looseness and a rattling noise. To eliminate this concern, the structure of the second seat hinge cover was revised to increase strength and prevent deformation. REPAIR PROCEDURE 1. Verify the customer concern. 2. Replace the armrest hinge cover with the improved part according to the procedure below. |
| 04-003-26 | 2026-06-02. Service bulletin. SERVICE BRAKES. Some vehicles may exhibit a squeaking noise from the rear brake during deceleration, and the noise is particularly noticeable during braking when the brakes are cold. This is caused by the brake pad(s) having difficulty contacting evenly with the rotor surface during light braking due to wear and/or deformation of the brake pad(s). To eliminate this concern, the shape of the rear brake pads will be modified. Replace both sides of the rear brake pads with the modified ones according to the instructions in MGSS (REAR BRAKE DISC PAD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION). |

Vehicles manufactured in Japan come from the factory with a JIS rated battery. NOTE: Replacement batteries may use a CCA rating. If so, use the CCA rating listed on the battery. 2. CCA (Cold Cranking Amps): CCA ratings are normally located on a sticker affixed to the top of the battery to indicate a battery’s Cold Cranking Amps. CCA rated batteries are supplied with domestically produced vehicles. NOTE: If an incorrect CCA rating is entered into the Mazda DCA-8000, it will result in a false result and invalid Warranty Code from the tester. This will also result in unnecessary replacement of batteries. TEST PROCEDURE 1. Connect the charger clamps to the appropriate battery posts. |
| SA-026-26 | 2026-05-05. Service bulletin. ENGINE. This Service Alert supersedes the previously issued M-Tip(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red text. MT-002/19 09/30/19 and 12/19/19 DESCRIPTION If an engine assembly is replaced after a catastrophic internal mechanical failure, clean the intake manifold internally before installing a replacement engine assembly. If the intake manifold is not cleaned properly, the replacement engine may fail prematurely. Metallic debris from the old engine (with catastrophic internal mechanical failure) may rest inside the intake manifold. When the new engine assembly is installed, debris in the intake manifold will be ingested into the new engine and cause internal damage. Clean the intake manifold internally to remove any debris from old engine before installing the new replacement engine assembly. If the intake manifold cannot be properly cleaned internally, replace it. |
