| 09-018-26 | 2026-06-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. This bulletin supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red. 09-031/25 08/05/25 DESCRIPTION While driving on gravel or dusty roads, dust accumulates at the lower inner edge of the door garnish. When the rear door is opened, the dust may be blown up and enter the cabin, adhering to the seats and the floor. This is caused by a large gap at the lower part of the boundary between the rear door and the front door, and air containing dust and/or sand is sucked up into the gap, accumulating at the lower edge of the rear door garnish while driving. To eliminate this concern, a mass production change is under study. NOTE: In environments where passengers frequently enter and exit the vehicle under dusty conditions (e.g. dirt or gravel roads, off-road driving), a certain amount of dust will enter into the cabin, even in other types of vehicles. Therefore, this phenomenon is not limited to the causes described in this document. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. NOTE: This repair procedure is an interim countermeasure. After a mass production change is implemented, the repair procedure will be updated. Attach the protectors (urethane pads, deflectors and protectors) to both sides of the designated locations according to the following steps. |
| SA-031-26 | 2026-05-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. DESCRIPTION Some vehicles may require the replacement of a damaged VIN plate or vehicle certification label. To obtain a replacement VIN plate (bulkhead-mounted and visible through the lower-left area of the windshield), contact DAG (Dealer Assistance Group) using VIN Plate Request Form available on One Mazda. To obtain a replacement vehicle certification label (located on the Bpillar or front door), contact your assigned DSM (District Service Manager) to place the order. If DSM contact information is not available, refer to the Dealer & Field Contact Directory. |
| 09-009-26 | 2026-03-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles exhibit creaking noise from the left side power liftgate (PLG) drive unit when moving (opening/closing) the power liftgate by hand and /or automatically. The noise tends to occur during moving, particularly at the start of opening or closing. As the condition progresses, it may be accompanied by functional issues such as increased operating effort, a “hard to move” feeling, or the PLG stops partway during opening or closing. |
| 09-008-26 | 2026-03-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. This bulletin supersedes the previously issued bulletin(s) listed below. The changes are noted in Red. 09-021/25 04/23/25 Some customers may complain about a creaking noise coming from the door area when driving on rough roads. This may be caused by a stick-slip occuring as plastic components of the door latch deform due to external forces applied from the striker to the latch and actuator. |
| SA-003-26 | 2026-02-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; STRUCTURE:BODY. Customers may report that the liftgate does not open or unlatch (from closed or an ajar position). This may happen after a discharged battery or after charging a dead battery. |
| 09-045-25 | 2026-01-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may experience that the fuel lid and charge lid do not lock or unlock during door lock/unlock operation. This is caused by: Improper dimensional accuracy of the lid actuator lock mechanism Incomplete control logic in the R-ESU software To eliminate this concern: The mold design of the lid actuator was modified. The control software of the R-ESU was revised. |
| SA-011-25a | 2025-11-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers will report that their fuel door (AKA, fuel filler door, fuel lid, and fuel-filler lid) was stuck closed and would not open to refuel the vehicle. Follow the repair steps below unless the conditions outlined in TSB 09-007/25 - FUEL-FILLER LID PANEL IS DEFORMED for 2019-2025 Mazda3 and 2020-2025 CX-30 are present. |
| SA-039/25 | 2025-09-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience exterior trim heat damage such (melted, separating, etc.) when parked near a glass building or Low-E windows. This may be caused by the sun's reflection. If a structure's windows create enough of a curve, the concave glass can focus the sun's rays onto a small area and acting like magnifiying glass direct the sunbeams into a hot pinpoint of light. This magnifcation of the sun's rays can cause damage to vehicle trim (see examples). Additional information and exemplar images regarding this phenomenon can be found by performing a google search. |
| 09-033-25 | 2025-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may exhibit the following behavior: If the power liftgate (PLG) encounters an obstruction during opening or closing, the jam-safe function is designed to stop the liftgate and reverse it slightly. Normally, pressing the liftgate button (dash, liftgate, or remote) after this happens should cause the liftgate to continue in the reverse direction. Due to a software issue, if the liftgate button is pressed after the jam-safe function is activated, the liftgate may instead continue moving in the direction of the obstruction. This occurs randomly and cannot be predicted. To correct this concern, the control software of the power liftgate control module has been modified to ensure the liftgate always continues in the reverse direction when the opener switch is operated immediately after the jam-safe function is activated. |
| 09-031-25 | 2025-09-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. While driving on gravel or dusty roads, dust accumulates at the lower inner edge of the door garnish. |
| 09-025-25 | 2025-07-01. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain that the rear outer handle is difficult to operate or that it gets stuck when released after being pulled once. This is caused when the rear outer handle and the rear handle bracket swell up from absorbing water and the space between them is reduced, resulting in friction and resistance when returning to the rest position after the handle has been pulled. To eliminate this concern, the rear outer handle and the rear outer handle bracket have been further modified to secure space between them even if the parts absorb water. |
| 09-023-25 | 2025-06-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some vehicles may exhibit that the power liftgate cannot be opened while stuck in an partially latched or fully opened/closed position, or it may reverse and open just before fully closing. with the following DTCs possibly stored in memory. B1451:02 BCM - Motor return switch circuit malfunction B1456:62 BCM - Latch condition malfunction U2646:16 BCM - Power liftgate (PLG) control module low power supply voltage input This may be caused by improper control software of the power liftgate control module. To eliminate this concern, the control software of the power liftgate control module has been modified. Customers having this concern should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. |
| 09-021-25 | 2025-05-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may complain about a creaking noise coming from the door area when driving on rough roads. This may be caused by a stick-slip occuring as plastic components of the door latch deform due to external forces applied from the striker to the latch and actuator. |
| 09-020-25 | 2025-05-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may experience a rattling (vibration) noise from the liftgate when driving on rough roads. This noise may be caused by the gap at the attaching point of the side spoiler metal clip to the rear spoiler. To eliminate this concern, a protector has been added onto the side spoiler to prevent the vibration. |
| 09-018-25 | 2025-05-02. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may exhibit a clicking, squeaking or rubbing noise when opening/closing the front door(s) of the vehicle. A clicking noise may be caused from the door connector sliding right and left, repeatedly connecting/half-connecting the connector tab, resulting in the stick-slip noise in the door side panel when opening/closing the front door. A squeaking or rubbing noise may be caused by the door harness interfering with the bottom edge of the door harness grommet when opening/closing the front door(s). To eliminate these concerns, a mass production change is under study. |
| SA-015-25 | 2025-04-01. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may exhibit poor hands-free liftgate operation after a Mazda genuine trailer tow hitch accessory installation. IMPORTANT: When a Mazda genuine trailer tow hitch is installed on a vehicle equipped with hands-free liftgate function, the sensing area is reduced due to the mechanical structure of the hitch. The hands-free liftgate’s optimal sensing area below the rear bumper is shown in green boxes in the image below. Since the left side of the hitch has a 7-pin connector socket, the right side is the most ideal for hands-free operation. For safety, be extra careful performing the kicking motion around the hitch. |
| SA-011-25 | 2025-03-05. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers will report that their fuel door was stuck closed and would not open to refuel the vehicle. Follow the repair steps below unless the conditions outlined in TSB 09-007/25 - FUEL-FILLER LID PANEL IS DEFORMED for 2019-2025 Mazda3 and 2020-2025 CX-30 are present. |
| 09-011-25 | 2025-03-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may complain that the driver’s side outer mirror glass vibrates when driving at high speeds at approximately 60 mph (100 km/hour ) or more on bumpy roads such as road joints, coarse-grained paved roads or rough roads. This is caused by insufficient hardness of the adhesive tape between the outer mirror glass holder and the mirror glass. To eliminate this concern, the material of the adhesive tape between the outer mirror glass holder and the mirror glass has been improved and the tape location has been modified. |
| 09-006-25 | 2025-02-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some customers may notice the front door window(s) do not open. This may be caused by the lower window cable corrosion and damage. To eliminate this concern, the following improvements have been made: The shape of the power window regulator pulley has been modified to prevent cable damage. The shape of the carrier plate has been modified to prevent the cable from being exposed to water/moisture. |
| 09-001-25 | 2025-02-04. Service bulletin. SEATS; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience the second-row seat (configured as captain chairs or 60/40 bench) not sliding with the walk-in lever operation, although it slides with the sliding lever. The link bracket (2) may interfere with the kick plate (1) while operating the recline function, causing the deformation of the link bracket and preventing it from pulling the cable properly to unlock the seat for sliding. To eliminate this concern, the thickness of the link bracket has been modified to prevent deformation and the shape of the kick plate has been modified to prevent the interference. |
| 09-050-24 | 2024-12-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may exhibit misalignment (in any direction) between the rear end of the front door glass run-channel (1) and the front end of the rear door glass run-channel (2). |
| PF-24-10 | 2024-11-04. Other. STRUCTURE:BODY. The right-side hood strut features a two-step mechanism for opening and closing. The first step is for general, the second step is for “service mode”. When you open the hood, after completing the hood in service mode, the stay damper might rattle because it loses internal pressure support to the hoodfender- strut system. This is normal operation and not a sign of any malfunction, no parts should be replaced. |
| SA-069-24 | 2024-11-04. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may exhibit poor hands-free liftgate operation after a Mazda genuine trailer tow hitch accessory installation. IMPORTANT: When a Mazda genuine trailer tow hitch is installed on a CX-90 equipped with hands-free liftgate function, the sensing area is reduced due to the mechanical structure of the hitch. |
| 09-046-24 | 2024-11-03. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY. Some vehicles may experience stains appearing on the hood, roof and/or trunk of the vehicle. This concern is most likely to be found in a cold weather areas just after the RAPGARD is removed at PDI. This may be caused by moisture which has been trapped and condensed between the paint and the RAPGARD. These types of stains can be removed with a heat gun or an infrared drier. If you encounter this concern during PDI, use a heat gun or an infrared drier to apply heat to the affected area to remove the stain(s). |
