Service bulletins for the 2024 Mazda CX-90
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SA-076-24 | 2024-11-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. This Service Alert provides information for the following symptoms. Although Battery State of Charge (SOC) is full, Maximum Driving Distance Display shows 1 mile (1 km). • Although Battery SOC is full, the vehicle cannot drive using EV mode (using electric motor power only) and will use HEV mode (using both electric power and a gas engine. • This is caused by low ambient temperature and low battery temperature. EV mode is suspended until the battery warms up to protect it from degradation and the gas engine will power the vehicle. This is normal operation. If the battery pack is able to warm up, EV mode will start and the display will change to show the correct Maximum Driving Distance Display for EV mode. |

This is caused by improper control software of the telematics communication unit (TCU). To eliminate this concern, the control software of the TCU has been modified. |
| SA-071-24 | 2024-10-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. After an HV inverter replacement, there is no instruction in the WSM to perform Initial Learning of the Electric Motor Speed Sensor. This is required after replacing the inverter or electric motor. As a result, when attempting to start the vehicle, the Internal combustion (ICE) engine will start and then stop with DTC P0C17 stored. If this DTC is set, refer to P0C17:00 [SGC2/DMCM (e-SKYACTIV PHEV)] in the troubleshooting manual. NOTE: When attempting to complete the Learn of Electric Motor Speed Sensor with MDARS, it will be unsuccessful until the vehicle is shut off and left undisturbed for 1-2 hours. Make sure the 12V battery is fully charged and the EV battery is charged, then connect the battery and wait a minimum of 1-2 hrs with the ignition OFF before proceeding directly to the relearn procedure. DO NOT start the engine until directed to do so in the relearn procedure. |

| SA-057-24 | 2024-09-04. Service bulletin. ENGINE; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. If you encounter any type of electrical concern (e.g, dead battery, engine no start, DTC(s) stored...), interview the customer before proceeding with normal MGSS diagnosis by asking if any aftermarket devices have been installed. Aftermarket devices may be the cause of the electrical concern. Below are a few examples of unusual electrical concerns caused by aftermarket devices. |
| SA-006-24b | 2024-09-04. Service bulletin. UNKNOWN OR OTHER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Customers having MAZDA CONNECT concerns should have their vehicle repaired using the following repair procedure. |
| SA-054-24 | 2024-09-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. When the power windows are operated many times without being fully closed, small errors of the window position sensor may accumulate and cause improper operation of the jam-safe function. To reduce the risk of this occurrence, the AUTO function is disabled if the power window is operated 10 consecutive times without being fully closed (turning the ignition OFF and then ON does not reset the counting). If the power window is fully closed before the 10th time, the counting restarts and the AUTO function is not deactivated. |
| 09-040-24 | 2024-09-04. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some customers may complain that the 2 mph rear BCM power liftgate (PLG) warning beep is too low, making it difficult to notice that the PLG is not closed properly with the front instrument panel warning lights. As the vehicle speeds up to above 6 mph, the front BCM warning beep will activate to notify the driver that the PLG may not be properly closed due to interference from rear cargo items. This is caused by the warning beep volume on the rear BCM being set too low. To eliminate this concern, the PLG control module has been modified. |
| SA-047-24 | 2024-08-05. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may report that the charge lid (door) on the vehicle was stuck closed and would not open to charge the vehicle. The charge lid may or may not be missing. |
| SA-043-24 | 2024-08-05. Service bulletin. STRUCTURE:BODY; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers will report their window will not auto-close. This may be caused by the vehicle learning the window current draw incorrectly because the door moved when the initialization was performed. |
| SA-019-24b | 2024-08-03. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; ENGINE. Some customers may experience a vehicle no start (no "Ready-ON") due to the 12V battery discharged or the High Voltage (HV) battery discharged. This may be caused by: Ignition left ON when exiting the vehicle (exiting the vehicle during "Ready-On"). Door/liftgate opened multiple times without ignition "Ready-ON" or driving vehicle. Installation of aftermarket electronic devices. To minimize the battery drain concern, ensure that the vehicle shift selector is in Park when exiting and verify the ignition is turned OFF when exiting. NOTE: If multiple door/liftgate opening without "Ready-ON', drive vehicle to charge 12V battery. |
| 30-001-24 | 2024-08-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may complain that the normal charge connector is stuck in the charging port and cannot be removed, or that it is difficult to disconnect. This may be caused by the lock pin that is installed at the charge port to fasten the normal charge cable during charging. If the worm gear that moves the lock pin has insufficient grease, the resistance to the movement increases and the lock pin cannot be released properly. To eliminate this concern, the method of grease application to the worm gear has been revised. |
| 09-001-24e | 2024-08-02. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some customers may experience a “Telematics Malfunction” message in the instrument cluster with DTC U3000:04-TCU (Telematics communication unit internal malfunction) stored in memory. This is caused by improper control software of the telematics communication unit (TCU). To eliminate this concern, the control software of the TCU has been modified. |
