Upon further diagnosis, the technician may find DTC (Diagnostic Trouble Code) P208A-13 and P208C-11 stored in the Powertrain Control Module (PCM).

Discovery Sport (LC) 2015MY Onwards & Range Rover Evoque (LV) 2014MY Onwards fitted with 9HP48 9-Speed Automatic Transmission: Retailers reporting these vehicles are flagging the following (TCM) Transmission control module DTC?s P2545-86 and/or P2546-86 codes during SDD DTC read or on customer concern. Should there be any other transmission related fault codes stored in the TCM these other codes should be investigated and resolved before proceeding with this instruction.

ONLY DTCs P0715-64 and P0700-02 are stored in the Transmission Control Module (TCM) P0715-64 - Input/Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor "A" Circuit - signal plausibility failure P0700-02 - Transmission Control System (MIL Request) - general signal failure. If there are any other DTCs stored in the TCM they must be investigated and rectified prior to carrying out the instruction detailed in this SSM. Issue: Oil leaking between the automatic transmission and transfer case assemblies which in some instances is being misdiagnosed potentially leading to repeat repairs, for example leaks incorrectly being identified as coming from the rear transmission oil seal or oil pan. Oil weeps through the aluminium casing in the rear extension housing of the transmission in the base of the pocket around where the steel D clutch steel tube is embedded. A potential issue has been identified on a limited number of Land Rover vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range which have had a transfer case replacement and, as a result of an incorrect instruction in the Workshop Manual, may have had the incorrect torque applied to secure the torsional damper.

N118NAS12018-04-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). An issue has been identified on certain vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range where the 'Service Required' message will not appear on the Instrument Cluster (IC) if a vehicle has reached its service point and the engine is started normally by pressing the engine START/STOP button with the brake pedal pressed. Turning on the ignition only, by pressing the engine START/STOP button without the brake pedal pressed, will still allow the 'Service Required' warning message to be displayed. In addition, the latest Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software has introduced a concern relating to the ability to reset the service message indicator. The latest IC software will rectify these concerns.

LTB01117NAS12018-01-29. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:STARTER ASSEMBLY; POWER TRAIN. No drive when the Transmission Control Switch (TCS) is in the Drive (D) position after an Auto Stop/Start. The Drive (D) lamp will flash on the TCS and a 'Re-select gear to manoeuvre' message will be displayed on the Instrument Cluster (IC).
