Service bulletins for the 2017 Land Rover Discovery
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SFCC Jul20_37 | 2020-08-07. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. A customer may report that the HVAC system is not blowing cool air. |
|---|---|
| SFCC_APR20_PG33 | 2020-05-01. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. No airflow from the HVAC system. |
| LTB00972NAS3 | 2019-09-09. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. No air is blowing through any of the passenger compartment air vents, regardless of the temperature or fan speed selected. |
| LTB01120NAS2 | 2018-12-17. Service bulletin. ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. A lack of cooling from the Air Conditioning (A/C) system may be evident. |
| SSM74069 | 2018-11-26. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Customers are reporting poor air conditioning performance which retailers are subsequently diagnosing as due to a faulty air conditioning compressor. |
| SSM73945 | 2018-11-13. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Issue: When performing a software update on the HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Control Module) the update fails stating SDD (Symptom Driven Diagnostics) has failed to resolve software. |
| N151NAS3 | 2018-11-13. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. An issue has been identified on certain vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range where the direct pressure sensing valve within the air conditioning compressor becomes 'stuck' and cannot respond to changing demands for air conditioning compressor displacement. The vehicle continues to operate; however, the function of the climate system is compromised by the failure mode. The customer may report a number of symptoms: cycling temperature within the passenger compartment, too cold, too hot, and odor ingress may occur. |
| LTB01068NAS2 | 2018-11-05. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. The air blowing through the A-pillar air vents may be noticeably cooler than the air blowing through any other air vents, affecting the ability to set a constant, comfortable temperature in the passenger compartment. |
| SSM73945 | 2018-10-15. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. Issue: When performing a software update on the HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning Control Module) the update fails stating SDD (Symptom Driven Diagnostics) has failed to resolve software. |

| SFCC-11JAN18 Att | 2018-05-29. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; EQUIPMENT ADAPTIVE/MOBILITY. A customer is complaining that while driving with climate control off she turns on max defrost you get a loud groaning noise as the defroster comes on. I road tested with the customer and heard the noise. If the climate control is already on I was unable to reproduce the noise. I tried a new car on the lot and was able to get that vehicle to produce the same noise under the same conditions. Any Ideas? |
| SFCC-11JAN18 Att | 2018-05-29. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:SOFTWARE. A Customer may report the cabin temperature cycles between too cold and too hot. |
| SSM73587 Attachm | 2018-01-29. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Issue: A customer may report that there is a noticeable temperature difference between the left hand and right hand Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC) vents when the temperatures selected on the front integrated control panel are set to the same value. During diagnosis using Pathfinder it may be evident that there are no Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) stored in the (HVAC) module. |
