On certain 2017 model year to 2020 model year Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles the Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may illuminate if the vehicle is refueled within 15 seconds of turning the engine off. SSM741252018-12-17. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). A customer may experience a hesitation or shudder while driving approximately 30-55 mph and at 1400-2000 RPM. The engine speed begins to visibly flutter on the tachometer. This occurs during warm up after a cold start. This hesitation is felt under these conditions while maintaining a constant accelerator pedal position.

Issue Customer may complain that ? Gearbox fault is displayed on the Instrument Cluster (IC) Flashing ?D? on the Transmission Control Switch and/or Instrument Cluster (IC) following an ECO Stop/Start event. ONLY DTCs P0715-64 and P0700-02 are stored in the Transmission Control Module (TCM) P0715-64 - Input/Turbine Shaft Speed Sensor "A" Circuit - signal plausibility failure P0700-02 - Transmission Control System (MIL Request) - general signal failure. If there are any other DTCs stored in the TCM they must be investigated and rectified prior to carrying out the instruction detailed in this SSM. The concern detailed in this SSM is applicable to 2017 and 2018 MY vehicles and typically occurs at low mileage (below 2500 miles/4000 kilometres) and affects vehicles fitted with the 8HP45 or 8HP70 automatic transmission.
SSM737092018-07-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:TRANSFER CASE (4-WHEEL DRIVE); ENGINE; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. Issue: Oil leaking between the automatic transmission and transfer case assemblies which in some instances is being misdiagnosed potentially leading to repeat repairs, for example leaks incorrectly being identified as coming from the rear transmission oil seal or oil pan. Oil weeps through the aluminium casing in the rear extension housing of the transmission in the base of the pocket around where the steel D clutch steel tube is embedded. SGI18-172018-07-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:TRANSFER CASE (4-WHEEL DRIVE); POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:TORQUE CONVERTER. A potential issue has been identified on a limited number of Land Rover vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range which have had a transfer case replacement and, as a result of an incorrect instruction in the Workshop Manual, may have had the incorrect torque applied to secure the torsional damper.

N118NAS12018-04-02. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM). An issue has been identified on certain vehicles within the listed Affected Vehicle Range where the 'Service Required' message will not appear on the Instrument Cluster (IC) if a vehicle has reached its service point and the engine is started normally by pressing the engine START/STOP button with the brake pedal pressed. Turning on the ignition only, by pressing the engine START/STOP button without the brake pedal pressed, will still allow the 'Service Required' warning message to be displayed. In addition, the latest Powertrain Control Module (PCM) software has introduced a concern relating to the ability to reset the service message indicator. The latest IC software will rectify these concerns.
