A concern has been identified where on certain vehicles equipped with TDV6 3.0L Diesel and Ingenium I4 2.0L Diesel engines, when connected to a diagnostic scan tool during the California SMOG test, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) incorrectly reports the monitor readiness status as 'not supported'.

A concern has been identified where on certain vehicles equipped with TDV6 3.0L Diesel and Ingenium I4 2.0L Diesel engines, when connected to a diagnostic scan tool during the California SMOG test, the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) incorrectly reports the monitor readiness status as 'not supported'. A software update to the PCM is needed.

Issue: A customer may report that the fuel level displays low when the quantity of fuel in the tank is higher or possibly full. The Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) B1A75-11 Fuel Sender 1 or B1A76-11 Fuel Sender 2 or both, will be present in the Body Control Module (BCM) if the concern appears. If the vehicle ignition is switched off for a period of time between 2 seconds and 2 minutes and then back on again, the fuel gauge reading will return to normal. The concern affects 17MY only.
