Service bulletins for the 2024 Ford Ranger

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Some 2024 Ranger vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P06DA and/or P06DB stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to a damaged oil pressure control solenoid connector C1744. For claiming, use causal part 14S411 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. These symptoms may be due to the software in the APIM. Replacing the APIM will not resolve these symptoms for the customer. Before returning the vehicle to the customer, review the procedures within Workshop Manual, Section 415-00 and ensure the latest APIM software is installed. Refer to General Service Bulletin (GSB) 23-7146 for help determining the latest available level of software.
