Service bulletins for the 2024 Ford Ranger

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

TSB 26-21892026-04-28. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS; BACK OVER PREVENTION: REARVIEW SYSTEM BRAKING. This article supersedes 25-2033. Reason for update: To clarify prior approval requirements in the Service Procedure. Some of the vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit all of the following conditions: * An intermittent condition of a continuous audible tone present from the rear parking aid system with no obstacles around the vehicle * No diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) stored in the image processing module A (IPMA) This may be due to the IPMA software, IPMA hardware, the rear parking sensors and/or sensor wiring.
SSM 547202026-04-10. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION. Various 2020-2026 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with blind spot information system (BLIS) may experience an inoperative blind spot monitoring with a "Blind Spot System Fault" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). This may also be accompanied by diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) B118C:11 and/or B118C:15 stored in the driver door module (DDM), and/or B118D:11 and/or B118D:15 stored in the passenger door module (PDM). This may be due to the wiring connector from the mirror to the BLIS module. If diagnostics lead to an internal mirror wiring harness fault, a new lower level BLIS light pigtail is now released for service. It is not necessary to replace the exterior mirror assembly. Use part number SC3Z-14A411-B to resolve the concern.
SSM 545762026-02-17. Service bulletin. BACK OVER PREVENTION: WARNINGS; UNKNOWN OR OTHER; STRUCTURE:BODY. Some 2024 Ranger vehicles may exhibit a Front Parking Sensors Not Available Sensor Blocked See Manual message displayed on the instrument panel cluster (IPC) when driving in cold ambient weather conditions with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored in the image processing module A (IPMA). The warning message may appear multiple times during initial low speed acceleration and when coming to a stop. The warning may stop reappearing after the ambient temperature rises well above 32°F (0°C). If all parking sensors are free of blockages and there are no parking sensor related DTCs stored in the IPMA, replace both front active park assist sensors (base part number: 15K859) located in the passenger and driver fender lip mouldings. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-13C for the removal and installation procedure. For claiming, use causal part 15K859 and labor operations 12651D8P and 12651D8PT.
SSM 522892024-03-05. Service bulletin. LANE DEPARTURE:LANE KEEP:NAVIGATION SYSTEM/SOFTWARE; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:INFOTAINMENT:SOFTWARE; UNKNOWN OR OTHER. Some 2024 Ranger vehicles may exhibit a condition where the navigation does not respond to voice commands, followed by a prompt to turn connected navigation On while the connected navigation settings are on in the connected vehicle features settings. This may be due to the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software. Reprogramming or replacement of the APIM will not resolve this condition. Inform customers that engineering is currently working on a solution for this condition and will be released via Ford Power-Up software updates delivered over-the-air (OTA) expected in Q4. The software will update automatically if vehicle connectivity is enabled in the vehicle's settings. Schedule a service visit for customers who have disabled vehicle connectivity or who report that they did not receive the update in December 2024. Monitor OASIS for additional information.
