Service bulletin 23P22

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

Some of the following vehicles: * 2023-2025 F-Super Duty built on or before 02-Feb-2025 * 2024-2026 Ranger/Bronco/Mustang * 2024-2025 F-150 built on or before 15-Jul-2025 * 2024-2025 Nautilus built on or before 16-Feb-2025 * 2025 Explorer/Aviator built on or before 01-Feb-2025 may exhibit all of the following symptoms: - "No Key Detected" message displayed on the instrument panel cluster (IPC). - Key fob does not work in the backup slot. - Remote keyless entry (RKE) (lock and unlock from the key fob) functionality will work to lock/unlock the vehicle. If the vehicle exhibits these symptoms, start the vehicle using both key fobs. If the no crank/no start condition with "No Key Detected" concern is present, reprogram both key fobs and retest. If the no crank/no start condition with "No Key Detected" is still present, replace the body control module (BCM). Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-10. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and labor operation MT55118SSM up to 1.8 hours.
SSM 551132026-09-01. Service bulletin. Some 2024-2025 Ranger vehicles equipped with a cargo box power point plug may exhibit a condition where all interior/exterior power outlets/plugs are inoperative with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) B1330:9A stored in the body control module (BCM). This may be due to an inoperative light emitting diode (LED) in the cargo box power point plug. To correct the condition, replace the cargo box power point plug (service base part number 19A464). Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 414-05 > Removal and Installation > Alternating Current (AC) Power Outlet Socket > Cargo Box Power Point Plug. For claiming, use causal part 19A464 and labor operation MT19A464SSM up to 0.6 hours.

SSM 546012026-02-27. Service bulletin. Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with wired keyless entry keypad systems and accessory wireless keyless entry keypad systems may or may not come with a wallet card containing the master code. Unlike the integrated wired keypad, the accessory wireless keypad master code cannot be retrieved from the vehicle using a diagnostic scan tool or from the label printed on the body control module (BCM). The Factory Keyless Entry Code application within the diagnostic scan tool will not provide an applicable master code for the accessory wireless keypad. If the wallet card for an accessory keypad is not available, the "Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide" can be referenced and provides direction on how to retrieve the master code. This guide is located under the Workshop Manual tab > Accessories > Installation > Wireless RF Keypad Diagnosis Guide > PPT C > Step C2.<br /><br /> Note: The only available keypad for some vehicles from the assembly plant is the accessory wireless keyless entry keypad. The integrated wired keypad cannot be installed on vehicles not equipped from the factory with a wired keyless entry k
SSM 545762026-02-17. Service bulletin. Some 2024 Ranger vehicles may exhibit a Front Parking Sensors Not Available Sensor Blocked See Manual message displayed on the instrument panel cluster (IPC) when driving in cold ambient weather conditions with no diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) stored in the image processing module A (IPMA). The warning message may appear multiple times during initial low speed acceleration and when coming to a stop. The warning may stop reappearing after the ambient temperature rises well above 32°F (0°C). If all parking sensors are free of blockages and there are no parking sensor related DTCs stored in the IPMA, replace both front active park assist sensors (base part number: 15K859) located in the passenger and driver fender lip mouldings. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-13C for the removal and installation procedure. For claiming, use causal part 15K859 and labor operations 12651D8P and 12651D8PT.
TSB 25-26212026-02-17. Service bulletin. Some vehicles listed in the Model statement above may exhibit a no crank/no start condition where the customer cannot start their vehicle. The vehicle may also exhibit a "No Key Detected" message displayed on the instrument panel cluster (IPC), and no key fob works in the back up slot. SSM 539792025-07-02. Service bulletin. Some 2024-2025 Ranger vehicles may exhibit a "Check Charging System" message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) U012D, U0284, and/or U042E stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to corrosion found in the active grille shutter lower connector (C1767). If no corrosion is found in this connector, refer to the Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 414-00 for normal diagnostics. If corrosion is found, replace the connector and active grille shutter (AGS) actuator (base part number: 10884). To aid in engineering investigation, when removing the corroded connector cut the wires about 3 inches (76 mm) from the connector to ensure adequate wire is left for analysis. If the corrosion condition is encountered, use the "Submit Global Concern Report (GCR)" link at the upper right of the Vehicle ID tab to submit a report and reference this article number in the report. For claiming, use causal part 14290 and labor operations 12650D, 12650D45, 12650D45WR, 12650D78LW, 12650D78BU, 12650D78CM, and/or 12650D78TD in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Stand
TSB 24-22332024-08-06. Service bulletin. Some 2024 Ranger vehicles may exhibit a hood that requires extra effort to engage the primary latch when closing the hood. This may be due to the misalignment of the latch assembly to the hood striker. This condition does not affect the secondary latch operation and the hood will remain secured. To correct this concern, follow the Service Procedure to adjust the latch and adjust the bump stop rubbers.
