Service bulletins for the 2021 Ford Ranger
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| TSB 21-2423 | 2022-01-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. Some 2018-2021 Expedition/Navigator, 2018-2020 F-150/Mustang and 2019-2021 Ranger vehicles equipped with a 10R80 automatic transmission may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P163E stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) or transmission control module (TCM) after replacing the main control valve body. This may be due to software incompatibility between the replacement main control valve body solenoid strategy file and the PCM/TCM software. To correct this condition, follow the Service Procedure to obtain a new main control valve body with a new strategy number. |

| TSB 21-2357 | 2022-01-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN. This article supersedes TSB 21-2315 to increase the labor operation time allowances. Some 2017-2020 F-150, 2018-2021 Expedition/Navigator/Mustang and 2019-2021 Ranger vehicles equipped with a 10R80 automatic transmission may exhibit a harsh engagement/harsh shift/delayed shift. It is possible the vehicle may also have an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) or diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P0751, P0752, P0756, P0757, P0761, P0762, P0766, P0767, P0771, P0772, P2700, P2701, P2702, P2703, P2704, P2705, P2707, P2708, P0729, P0731, P0732, P0733, P0734, P0735, P0736, P076F, P07D9, P07F6 and/or P07F7 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) or transmission control module (TCM). This may be due to incompatibility of the adaptive calibration to adapt to hardware wear-in over time. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure steps to overhaul the main control valve body and/or perform an adaptive learning drive cycle. |
| SSM 50203 | 2021-10-29. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some 2019-2021 Ranger vehicles built on or before 09-Aug-2021 and 2021 Bronco vehicles may experience a loss of power when driving in freezing temperatures with an illuminated malfunction indication lamp (MIL) and/or powertrain malfunction indicator (wrench) lamp with diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) P2111, P2112, and/or P2119. This may be due to water or ice buildup in the intake manifold behind the throttle body. If suspected, remove the throttle body and inspect for the presence of water or ice in the base of the intake manifold. If water or ice is found, replace the intake manifold with part number KB3Z-9424-B and crankcase vent oil separator hose, part number LB5Z-6A664-D. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Sections 303-01 and 303-08. For claiming, use causal part number 9424 and applicable labor times from Section 09 of the Service Labor Times Standard (SLTS) Manual. |
| TSB 21-2315 | 2021-10-05. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. |
| TSB 21-2294 | 2021-09-30. Service bulletin. EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM); POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:DOGS/SYNCHROS. Some 2019-2020 Edge/F-150/Fusion/Continental/MKZ/Nautilus, 2019-2021 Mustang/Ranger/Transit Connect, 2020-2021 EcoSport/Escape/Expedition/Explorer/F-Super Duty/Aviator/Corsair/Navigator and 2021 Bronco Sport vehicles with SYNC 3 may experience various SYNC performance related concerns To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to update the accessory protocol interface module (APIM) software. |
| SSM 50049 | 2021-09-04. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:MANUAL TRANSMISSION:INTERNAL:DOGS/SYNCHROS. Some 2017-2021 Ford and Lincoln vehicle customers may receive a message in their FordPass or Lincoln Way App stating Feature Unavailable. Since this is a fleet vehicle, it cannot access the SYNC Connect or FordPass Connect feature or Lincoln Connect or Embedded Modem Do not replace the TCU or perform any repair to resolve this condition. Refer the owner of the vehicle to Ford Pass Guides or Lincoln Way Concierge Teams to assist in removing the fleet telematics subscription. |
| TSB 21-2147 | 2021-07-01. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION:CONTROL MODULE (TCM/PCM/TECM); ELECTRICAL SYSTEM.
