Service bulletin TSB 21-2294
A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

| SSM 50977 | 2022-08-02. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2022 F-Super Duty and 2021-2023 E-Series vehicles equipped with a 6.2L or 7.3L gasoline engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P0457 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to a loose fuel filler cap. The fuel filler cap design has changed, requiring multiple turns to seal properly. Advise the customer to turn the fuel filler cap clockwise until there is at least one audible click to seal properly. For further diagnostics, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-13 - pinpoint test HX. |
|---|---|
| TSB 22-2280 | 2022-07-18. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2021 Mustang GT500 vehicles may experience erratic and harsh shifting at highway speeds and/or perceived lack of power when accelerating from a stop, with a powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator and diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P1601 and/or P061A stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) while using SelectShift. This may be due to the software in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM. |
| SSM 50457 | 2022-02-16. Service bulletin. Some 2019-2020 Transit Connect vehicles built on or before 29-Jun-2020 may have a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) U0151 stored in the SYNC Module (Accessory Protocol Interface Module). If no other codes are present and a U0151 code remains after clearing, do not attempt any further repairs. This code does not impact the performance or reliability of the vehicle and will not induce a customer indicator. |
| SSM 50260 | 2021-12-07. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2022 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 10R140 automatic transmission may exhibit a delayed engagement into drive and/or reverse on initial start-up. The condition may occur at times after sitting over night or for a couple of days. This may be due to the transmission fluid draining back from the torque converter. This is a normal characteristic of the 10R140 transmission and has no effect on durability, do not attempt to repair. Advise the customer to allow more time after first engine start-up and before shifting into gear allowing time for the torque converter to refill. |
| SSM 50049 | 2021-09-04. Service bulletin. Some 2017-2021 Ford and Lincoln vehicle customers may receive a message in their FordPass or Lincoln Way App stating Feature Unavailable. Since this is a fleet vehicle, it cannot access the SYNC Connect or FordPass Connect feature or Lincoln Connect or Embedded Modem Do not replace the TCU or perform any repair to resolve this condition. Refer the owner of the vehicle to Ford Pass Guides or Lincoln Way Concierge Teams to assist in removing the fleet telematics subscription. |
| TSB 20-2190 | 2020-07-06. Service bulletin. Some 2019-2020 Edge/Nautilus vehicles equipped with an 8F57 transmission may exhibit a harsh engagement when shifting from PARK to REVERSE, PARK to DRIVE and/or REVERSE to DRIVE with no DTCs present. The vehicle may also exhibit a harsh upshift and downshift. These harsh engagements may result in an engagement clunk from the driveline. This may be due to various powertrain control module (PCM) software parameters for harsh engagements when shifting from various shifter selector positions. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM. |
| TSB 20-2043 | 2020-03-03. Service bulletin. Some 2020 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 6.7L engine and 10R140 transmission and built on or before 15-Jan-2020 may exhibit harsh upshifts between 1st and 5th gears. This may be due to various strategies within the transmission control module (TCM) software. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the TCM. |
