A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

SSM 523492024-04-04. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2023 F-150 vehicles may exhibit DTC C0604:00 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM) and may have an Active Air Dam System Fault See Manual message displayed in the instrument panel cluster (IPC). To correct this condition, clear and retest for the DTC C0604:00. If DTC C0604:00 returns, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM) Section 501-19 Bumpers, Diagnosis and Testing for additional diagnosis.
SSM 518542023-09-04. Service bulletin. Various 2013-2019 vehicles may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P264F after powertrain control module (PCM) replacement. This DTC indicates that the engine serial number (ESN) must be programmed into the PCM. The ESN is located on PTS > Diagnostics tab > HVBoM > Features > Engine Serial Number. Once the ESN is obtained from the historical vehicle bill of materials (HvBOM), it can be programmed into the PCM using the appropriate Ford diagnostic scan tool. Navigate to the toolbox tab> powertrain menu> Service Functions> ESN.
SSM 509762022-08-02. Service bulletin. Some 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 3.5L PowerBoost engine may exhibit an illuminated powertrain malfunction (wrench) indicator with DTC P2C44:00 stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to an issue with ground circuit GD132 or the auxiliary battery isolator. Perform Pinpoint Test I in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-06D and make sure the integrity of GD132 is carefully inspected and tested with the inclusion of G102, C146 and C1989C. Then perform the Auxiliary Battery Conditions(s) Test in WSM, Section 414-01, Pinpoint Test B. If no issues are found in Pinpoint Test I, GD132 and the auxiliary battery condition test passes, replace the auxiliary battery isolator per WSM, Section 414-01. For claiming, use causal part 14526 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

This may be due to a loose fuel filler cap. The fuel filler cap design has changed, requiring multiple turns to seal properly. Advise the customer to turn the fuel filler cap clockwise until there is at least one audible click to seal properly. For further diagnostics, refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-13 - pinpoint test HX.

This may be due to the software in the PCM. To correct the condition, follow the Service Procedure to reprogram the PCM.
SSM 502602021-12-07. Service bulletin. Some 2020-2022 F-Super Duty vehicles equipped with a 10R140 automatic transmission may exhibit a delayed engagement into drive and/or reverse on initial start-up. The condition may occur at times after sitting over night or for a couple of days. This may be due to the transmission fluid draining back from the torque converter. This is a normal characteristic of the 10R140 transmission and has no effect on durability, do not attempt to repair. Some 2021 Mustang Mach-E, F-150, Edge/Nautilus or Bronco vehicles equipped with SYNC 4 may have a customer symptom of the SYNC voice commands being activated without pushing the steering wheel switch. This may be due to the feature called Wake Word within SYNC 4. This feature allows the driver to activate the SYNC 4 system without pushing the steering wheel switch. Under the touchscreen Settings > Voice Settings the preferred Wake Word can be changed. The feature can also be disabled if the customer does not want the SYNC voice commands being activated without touching the steering wheel switch. This feature is not a defect.
