Service bulletins for the 2019 Ford Mustang

A bulletin is a manufacturer's communication to its dealers, as NHTSA indexes it. The summary is NHTSA's. The document is the manufacturer's: read it at NHTSA. A bulletin is not a recall, and listing a model year does not mean every vehicle of it is concerned.

184 on file from NHTSA, as of 2026-10-19.

SSM 479252019-05-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL; EQUIPMENT. SSM 47925 - 2019 Various Vehicles - SYNC 3 - Infotainment Screen Concerns, Wi-Fi ConnectionMessage, Rear View Camera Operation Some 2019 vehicles equipped with SYNC 3 may have the following intermittent symptoms: a Wi-Fi connection pop up every key cycle, frozen unresponsive screen, a solid blue screen when moving forward at speeds above 10 mph, the rear view camera remains on the screen at speeds below 10 mph, or poor App performance. To resolve this concern, check for a SYNC software update under the OASIS Tab SYNC selection. If an update is available, update the APIM software per Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00. Follow the onscreen instructions provided by the programming process. To verify success after programming, turn the key off with the dooropen for 5 minutes. Perform this SYNC programming before taking any other repair steps. For claiming, use causal part 14G371 and applicable labor operations inSection 10 of the SLTS manual. APPLICABLE VEHICLES
SSM 479112019-05-07. Service bulletin. ENGINE. SSM 47911 - 2018-2019 F-150/Mustang - 5.0L - Chirping Noise From Engine Compartment At Idle Some 2018-2019 F-150 and Mustang vehicles equipped with a 5.0L engine may exhibit a chirping type noise from the upper right side of the engine at a warm or hot idle. This noise may sound similar to a front engine accessory drive (FEAD) chirp noise. If the noise persists with the FEAD belt removed and is isolated to the front cover area, this noise may be due to the primary timing chain tensioner. This noise will not result in any engine durability concerns. Do not attempt any repairs at this time. Engineering is investigating, monitor OASIS for updates.
SSM 479482019-05-07. Service bulletin. ENGINE. SSM 47948 - 2010-2019 Various Vehicles - Turbocharged Engines - Oil Supply Filter Replacement When Replacing The Turbocharger Or The Turbocharger Oil Supply Tube For 2010-2019 vehicles equipped with turbocharged engines, when diagnosing and/or replacing turbo related concerns, all steps within the Workshop Manual (WSM) procedure must be followed including replacement of all mandatory discarded parts. When specified in the WSM, the turbocharger oil supply filter must be replaced whenever the turbocharger or the turbocharger oil supply tube are replaced. Turbocharger bearing failure may occur if oil starvation occurs due to a restricted filter.
SSM 478502019-05-07. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM; EQUIPMENT:APPLIANCE:AIR CONDITIONER. Some 2013-2019 vehicles equipped with a EVDC air conditioning (A/C) compressor may exhibit poor A/C performance/improper climate function and/or a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P06A0 in the powertrain control module (PCM). To support the proper diagnosis of this compressor, the EVDC control valve tester has been developed and is available from Rotunda (339-EVDC100). A tester has been provided to each U.S. dealership free of charge with shipments completed 19-Apr-2019 (reference EFC07013 on FMCDealer.com). This tester will help reduce the potential for misdiagnosis and unnecessary compressor replacement. Make sure that this tester is used for warranty repairs and document the test results in the Technician Comments field. Refer to the Rotunda catalog for a video and user manual which provide detailed operating instructions.
TSB 19-20492019-05-06. Service bulletin. POWER TRAIN; ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING. Some 2019 Mustang and F-150 vehicles built on or before 8-Jan-2019 and equipped with a 5.0L engine may exhibit an illuminated malfunction indicator lamp (MIL) with diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) P1289 and/or P017D stored in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to cylinder head temperature (CHT) sensor. To resolve the condition, replace the CHT sensor.
SSM 478242019-04-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2015-2017 vehicles may experience a no crank concern due to a security access key table error. When attempting to program keys or perform a parameter reset, the procedure may fail and the Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) scan tool may display an error 232: Key Table Not Allocated. If this error message is encountered, the Body Control Module (BCM) is internally faulted and requires replacement. For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standards (SLTS) manual.
SSM 478212019-04-08. Service bulletin. ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2018-2019 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a TCU may exhibit inoperative remote features via Ford Pass/Lincoln Way mobile app, incomplete user authorization and/or accessory protocol interface module (APIM) DTC U0198 or no modem electronic serial number (ESN) displayed. To correct this condition prior to programing remove the TCU fuse for 5 minutes then reinstall. Delete all previous session files for the vehicle. Verify that the electronic serial number (ESN) is now displayed. Start a new IDS/FDRS session. Program the TCU to the latest IDS/FDRS version level. Make sure you are connected to the internet before retesting. If the concern is still present, follow normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual(WSM), Section 415-00. Refer to PTS OASIS home page for TCU version identification. For claiming, use causal part 14G229.
SSM 478142019-04-08. Service bulletin. SEATS:FRONT ASSEMBLY:SEAT HEATER/COOLER; SEATS; ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. Some 2016-2019 Explorer, 2016-2018 MKX, 2019 Edge/Nautilus, 2017-2019 Fusion/MKZ, and 2018-2019 F-150/Mustang/Expedition/Navigator vehicles equipped with climate controlled seats may exhibit a buzzing noise from the front seats, front seats too warm, and/or inoperative climate controlled front seats. DTCs B14BA:13, B1154:4B, and/or B14B9:13 may also be present. This may be due to loose terminal pin fit on the driver seat module (DSM) connector C341D (16 pin). If a loose terminal pin fit condition is found during normal diagnostics per Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 501-10, a new service pigtail connector (part number 3U2Z-14S411-BRAB) is available. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 119 to make sure C341D is a 16 pin connector and not a 20 pin connector. Refer to Wiring Diagram, Cell 5 for the recommended splicing procedures.
